However, there has been no reaction from state bodies even so far, half a year after the statements. No official response!

And the policemen called back in August to the Manezh refused to arrest the organizers of the exhibition. And she continued to act. Meanwhile, the purest ideals of our people were vilified in front of everyone. Absolutely with impunity! And no one dared to oppose this, unless, of course, they didn’t give a damn.

But there were a few Orthodox young people who, faced with the outright desecration of the shrines of the Russian people, decided to stop this bullying, which is on a par with systematic attacks on Orthodoxy, such as, for example, christening in the center of Kiev.


When everyone stood and calmly looked at how the whores were sawing the cross.


Similarly, Muscovites calmly looked at the blasphemy in the arena. In a few days, all attempts to stop public lawlessness were exhausted. Applications were not considered, the exhibits were not arrested, the exhibition continued to work.


Then the young people decided to draw the attention of the federal media to the problem in order to stir up the authorities and the people in this way and achieve an end to this ritual desecration of Christian shrines by giving wide publicity. The corpus delicti is obvious, the attention of the public is needed, which will help bring to criminal responsibility.

But how to make sure that the situation is shown on federal channels? You need to at least break the plate and throw the linoleum on the floor. Otherwise, the story won't work.

But many respected people fell for a masterful juggling!

They did not catch that it is necessary to speak first of all not about the actions of young people, but about the unacceptable image of the shrines of the Russian people near the Kremlin itself!

We bring to your attention another work by Sidur, the author of blasphemous pictures on linoleum, which well reflects the richness of the artist's cultural heritage. There is no need to provide the main state platform for such "art". Private museums are fine.


"The greatest Russian artist of the 20th century"- another art critic lisps. The state TV channel sets the viewer against the actions of opponents of blasphemy. It intentionally does not show the rest of the exhibits. It "sculpts" city crazy people from young people.

"Pogrom" is shamelessly called the breaking of a plate from Ikea, on which lay a deformity called the head of the prophet John the Baptist, who baptized Jesus; as well as throwing three pieces of linoleum on the floor, later valued at 192,000 rubles.

"Mayhem! Mayhem!" All those who later applauded the arson of the FSB doors squealed. The artist has the right to self-expression! And let the Orthodox sit in churches, do not stick out.


Worst of all, the Orthodox community partly sided with Vera Trachtenberg. Divided within itself due to the difference in the channels for obtaining information and the degree of awareness. Someone heard about the "pogrom" from the news, artfully denigrating civil action. And someone saw photos of blasphemy, a full video of the "pogrom". Someone did not like Enteo himself and decided not to look at the root of the problem. Others understood that themwe are all Christians, and we ourselves could have been in the place of young activists.

Someone thought that the activists worked in tandem with Vera Trakhtenberg in order to publicize an exhibition that was of no interest to anyone and take it with "shocking" - the main method of brawlers from "modern art". As if a person were walking in the park in boots with a deep tread and stepped into dog feces, and then went to visit everyone in turn, diligently wiping their feet on the rug at the entrance.

Moreover, immediately after the event in the Manezh, Vladimir Solovyov masterfully pitted the Orthodox Christians Prokhanov and Tsorionov on his program, formally inviting them to discuss the exhibition. However, he taxied a dispute on the topic of Stalinism, in which the guests are irreconcilable opponents. And in which the main part of the population does not support Enteo, representing the side of Christians who demanded an end to blasphemy. As a result, according to the voting, it turned out that the majority gave the victory to the one who seemed to be an opponent of Tsorionov, which means that he acted as a defender of the organizers of the exhibition.

How not to suspect a well-thought-out scenario in all this, even if the date of the opening of the exhibition and the name of the curator were not chosen by chance?

But later events showed that, be that as it may, in the person of the activists, they massacred and continue to massacre the entire Russian Orthodox community. That is, over the majority. The minority proved to all thinking representatives of the majority that in Moscow we would live according to their rules.

The whole country was spat in the face and made to thank for the received spit! They mocked the shrines, showed it on all channels, violated laws 148 and 282, demonstrated to everyone that these laws work only for those who control the media. That these laws work only against the Orthodox people, against the Russians - and they were. Nobody was punished. None. And the whole tragedy is that tens of millions simply wiped themselves off and remained silent. What awaits us in the very near future! We absolutely do not know how to defend our rights and national interests in our own country!

The guys were dragged through the courts, forced to pay a fine and sit for several weeks in prison. And they seem to have left them all alone. But one of them, Lyudmila Esipenko, was decided to plant in a revealing way throughout the country, so that all Orthodox patriots, seeing the mockery of faith and the country, would know that for the fulfillment of their duty to stop blasphemy, not public support would await them, but blasphemy, prison and a psychiatric hospital.


For the fact that Lyudmila Esipenko threw three pieces of linoleum from the pedestal with especially indecent images, Lyudmila, in addition to fines and a term for hooliganism, was also sent to a psychiatric hospital to undergo an examination for sanity!

The prosecutor's office has lost thousands of statements about extremism from the organizers of the exhibition. But not the statement of the curators of the exhibition. In mid-March, Lyudmila Esipenko was put on the criminal wanted list. Upon learning of this, the girl immediately appeared at the authorities, where she was arrested as it should be for a criminal, but in violation of the most important legal procedures, and sent to the penitentiary.


About 50 people came to support Lyudmila in the middle of the working day. In fact, for the first time in the history of the Russian Federation, there is an inherent persecution of Orthodox citizens.

On March 18, at three in the morning, the Simonovsky Court ruled: Mila Esipenko was placed under house arrest until April 30 with the right to visit an Orthodox church for three hours a day.


We must not allow a defenseless girl to be dealt with, whose act absolutely does not deserve what the enemies of Russia intend to do to her. Otherwise, tomorrow we ourselves will be in her place. Seriously and permanently.

A lukewarm attitude towards mockery of our sacred things will lead our country not only to the loss of the remnants of sovereignty, but to complete disappearance.

If we cannot protect our most important values, then is it worth trying to change the colonial status of the Russian Federation in the world economic system, stop the catastrophe in education, and educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism? Even if the blasphemy of holy things does not unite us in an effort to protect them, then nothing will unite us.

The attack on values ​​occurs systematically, daily. We need to learn how to resist it in the same way. Otherwise we will lose the country.

Firstly, to provide comprehensive support to Lyudmila, to help the state authorities, paralyzed by the fifth column, sort out the obvious crime committed by the organizers of the exhibition. It violates the foundations of cultural policy, and hence the strategy of national security.

Secondly, remove blasphemy on linoleum and heads on a platter from the register of state-protected cultural objects.

On Thursday, the Butyrsky District Court of Moscow partially satisfied the Manezh's claim against Orthodox activist Lyudmila Esipenko. He decided to recover from her 584 thousand rubles for the restoration of blasphemous pictures by Vadim Sidur. Esipenko's representatives in the debate argued that the works were not of cultural value, that they were spoiled by museum workers, and the Manege, having exposed blasphemous pictures for public viewing, violated its code of ethics.

The speech of the lawyer of the Manezh, Mrs. Indilova, took a little more than a minute during the debate. During this time, she only defended the idea of ​​the Manezh to recover 560 thousand rubles from Esipenko to clean the four linoleums with blasphemous pictures from dust. Because at previous meetings, representatives of the Orthodox activist rebelled against this idea, referring to the fact that Esipenko had nothing to do with the formation of dust.

The instructions for accounting and storage of museum exhibits say: "Unique and especially valuable exhibits are prohibited from being exhibited on stands and stands without glazing." Linoleum is a fragile material. If, as they say, these are especially valuable exhibits, they should have been glazed, but this was not the case.

If you think that you could exhibit these exhibits open, then here's what the instructions say: "In an open exhibition, fences are installed near especially valuable and fragile exhibits." But this was not the case either.

With regard to the trasological examination. We are not talking about two linoleums at all - they found only surface dirt and abrasions, which, as the Manezh keeper said, could have formed before the exhibition. And as for the two works in which chips occurred, the trassological examination did not determine the mechanism for the formation of these faults. The investigator, in his decision to terminate the criminal case against Esipenko, wrote as follows: the mechanism of causing harm is unknown.

In this regard, we cannot assert that these chips could have occurred as a result of Esipenko's actions. They could have occurred as a result of improper storage and improper installation, because the works were attached to the pedestal at the exhibition with adhesive tape. And in no case should such a fragile material as linoleum be attached with adhesive tape.

The estimate of the Grabar Center, on the basis of which 1 million 200 thousand rubles are required from Esipenko for restoration, does not stand up to criticism, because both witness-restorers who signed this estimate admitted their incompetence in the field of restoration of linocuts. They said they didn't have the technology to bring the linocut to the right condition. First, they want to use Esipenko's money to develop the technology, and then to restore it with her money. One restorer generally said that he did not read this estimate. He signed it purely out of trust, because it was compiled by his colleagues. The economist who compiled the prices chose them solely on some inner conviction. She decided that the prices for the restoration of linoleum should be the same as the prices for the restoration of unglazed ceramics.

And the most interesting thing in this situation. In accordance with Article 1064 of the Civil Code, damage can be compensated if there are three signs. One of them is the presence of damage and its size. The plaintiff offers us no damages to compensate. He offers us to take everything and restore it. These are different things. Damage is damage caused as a result of the guilty actions of the tortfeasor. We were not given the amount of damage. Instead, we were presented with a general estimate for the restoration.

We are moving on to the Code of Ethics and Conduct for the Manezh employees. Paragraph 2.29: "The museum must ensure that the information presented in a permanent exhibition or temporary exhibition is reasonable and carefully verified and broadcasts judgments that are objective for certain groups and beliefs." What judgments are broadcast here? Anti-Christian - this is unequivocal, because the very title of these works refers to religious themes, to what is sacred to people. This desire to shock the public, the admission of a scandal. If the Manezh exhibitors wanted to know whether this exhibition would harm certain groups of people who have certain beliefs and judgments, they would have to conduct a survey, an examination, because the exhibitor is responsible for what people see. The staff of the Manezh could not but understand that a scandal was possible because of these works. Their Code says that they must be aware of their moral responsibility to society. In all likelihood, they don't realize it.

More from the Code: "Museum workers are required to show tolerance and respect for the customs and traditions of the peoples of Russia and other states." In Russia, 80% of citizens identify themselves as Orthodox Christians. It was not sick people who prepared this exhibition so as not to understand what they were doing.

The Code also states that museum workers must “take into account the cultural and other characteristics of various ethnic groups and confessions, promote interethnic and interfaith harmony, refrain from behavior that could raise doubts about the conscientious performance of their duties by museum workers, and avoid conflict situations, reputational damage." Here a conflict situation was created. The very nature of the exhibition is provocative: the absence of a glass cap, the absence of guards, the absence of fences. The provocation of the scandal was a marketing ploy. It cannot be said about the exhibits that they are bright, kind. As academician Likhachev said, "art illuminates and sanctifies." The exhibited art is not art: it does not illuminate or consecrate. It causes disgust.

And besides, we have the wrong plaintiff. Sidur's linocuts are not the property of the Manezh, but of the Russian Federation represented by the Ministry of Culture. And the Ministry of Culture does not see any damage to the Russian Federation in this and does not demand its compensation. And we have the wrong defendant. That is, we have an unfounded claim.

In addition, these items are not considered included in the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation, because at the time of the exhibition they were not included in the state catalog of the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation. At the time of the exhibition, new rules were not in force, according to which, if not in the catalog, but listed in the inventory books, then it is considered that they are included in the Museum Fund. This means that these works are not of cultural value.”

“All instructions for museum workers say that dust is one of the sources of aging and destructuring of any object. Since there is dust, it means that organic matter starts up, biological damage - fungi, mold, and so on. If we do not dust off objects, we can assume that the process of internal destructuring at the level of the molecular lattice has gone further, because the museum does not provide elementary dusting. That is, the works could have been damaged even before the opening of the exhibition.

Let's look at paragraph 24.25 of the instructions for accounting and storage of museum exhibits. It says: "It is forbidden to use plasticine, irreversible adhesives as fasteners for all objects without exception." And in the recommendation of the graphics department of the State Historical Museum it is written: “It is unacceptable to stick labels directly on the exhibits. It is unacceptable to mount exhibits on adhesive tape. It is unacceptable to glue the exhibit to the stand. In this case, traces of mounting glue were found on the exhibits - this was not brought in by Esipenko. These were brought, not following the instructions and guidelines, by the museum workers themselves with the tacit consent of the chief curator. There are also traces of tape on the works. And, tearing off the tape from the linoleum, you can cause damage to the item.

In addition, the Manege is a museum for the general population. According to the laws of psychophysiology, if a person is shocked by an image, if it offends his internal basic values, he may have an avalanche-like impulse reaction to remove the offending object from his eyes. Understanding this, exhibitors of other museums protect the works with glass caps, fences, plant caretakers next to them, and turn on the alarm system. Do not use gluing on adhesive tape as the only method of protection. You allow close contact with the work of art of any viewer, which means that you admit that there may be some consequences. After all, a child can approach the exhibit. He can touch, spit and smear something. Visit exhibitions and mentally ill people. I myself saw how at the exhibition a man hit his head against a landscape in neon colors.

By not guarding the exposition, you provoke people also because modern expositions are often interactive. They mean that if the object is not protected, then come, touch, pick it up.

If the items were protected, Espienko would not have damaged them.”

Petition: “Mila Esipenko against blasphemy in the Manezh”.

We support the Statement to the authorities of the Human Rights Center, headed by the Patriarch, of the World Russian People's Council dated February 2, 2016.

The Human Rights Center calls on the authorities to ensure justice in the case of Lyudmila Esipenko, who protested against the blasphemous exhibition in the Manege on August 14 last year.

The only reason for the persecution of Lyudmila by law enforcement agencies is that she could not endure the blasphemy against God at the very walls of the Kremlin on the main exhibition site of the country.

At the exhibition “Sculptures We Cannot See”, which was held from August 14 to September 6, 2015 at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall, parodies of the Crucifixion and the Descent of the Lord from the Cross depicted on pieces of linoleum were exhibited.

We fully subscribe to the warning of the authorities made by the Human Rights Center against attempts to “demonstrate that a public protest against the violation of the rights of believers is the result of mental imbalance” and agree with the words of our human rights activists that “every believer, initiative groups and public organizations have an inviolable right to express protest against encroachments on the dignity of believers, including opposing the holding of exhibition events.”

We are perplexed that against the backdrop of the persecution of Lyudmila Esipenko and the threat of punitive psychiatry, more than 3,000 statements by Orthodox people about insulting religious feelings at the exhibition in the Manezh have not been considered by law enforcement agencies for six months. !!!

Also, we are unable to understand why the competent cultural institutions did not carry out any internal investigation of blasphemy in the state exhibition complex, financed from the taxes of the citizens of the country, for six months, and none of the perpetrators was brought to any responsibility. !!!

As for the fact that Lyudmila Esipenko is currently a suspect in a criminal case initiated at the request of Vera Trakhtenberg, curator of the exhibition “Sculptures We Don’t See,” it should be noted that on August 20, 2015, Lyudmila was already convicted by the Tverskoy District Court under part 1 tbsp. 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for “destruction of other people's property” in the Manezh, and The Constitution of Russia in Part 1 of Art. 50 forbids condemning twice for the same act. !!!

If the cover-up of blasphemers in the Manezh and the persecution of Lyudmila Esipenko continue, we will consider this a direct support for blasphemy by the Russian authorities. !!!

In the Tverskoy Court of Moscow, a trial is underway against Lyudmila Esipenko, accused of damaging blasphemous linocuts.
Recall that in the summer of 2015, the Manege hosted the exhibition Sculptures We Cannot See. She was visited by an Orthodox Christian Lyudmila Esipenko, who was stung to the very heart by the so-called linocut of a certain Vadim Sidura: Christ is mocking about the displayed genitals. Prosecutor's Office and the Russian Federation opened a criminal case under Art. 243 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“destruction or damage to cultural heritage sites”). And the Moscow City Hall filed a lawsuit against Lyudmila Esipenko for 1 million 169 thousand 802 rubles 82 kopecks to pay for the restoration and blasphemous masterpiece.

By the way, in Chapter IV of the "Fundamentals of the Social Concept of the Russian Orthodox Church" it is clearly and unequivocally written: "Disobedience to secular laws and formally lawful decisions of the courts is obligatory for Orthodox Christians in accordance with the Fundamentals of the Social Concept of the Church for all cases when obedience threatens eternal salvation, presupposes an act apostasy or other undeniable sin against God."

At a court hearing on June 7, Lyudmila Esipenko stated that if the suit of the mayor's office was satisfied, this would provoke her to civil disobedience, since she would not pay for blasphemy under any circumstances.

I'm ready for any relationship. But I do not understand and do not accept how one can calmly pass by the unacceptable and unbearable. Is it possible to pretend that nothing is happening if a child is killed next to you, a woman is raped, or a helpless person is bullied?
Desecration of that which is sacred, which for centuries has sanctified the life of many generations, is even worse. Indifference to blasphemy is a sign of solidarity with mockery of the image of Christ.

At that time, I did not think that I was replacing the work of law enforcement agencies, which, being guardians of the law, were called upon to stop insulting the feelings of believers. It was later that I found out that the competent authorities never thought to protect our feelings, which are rudely trampled upon by such an anti-culture. Yes, an anti-culture, a diabolical culture, which, in the words of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, "destroys a person - ... turns him into an animal, into a beast." And who else does the image of a “gutted” God turn a person into?!

The Investigative Committee of Russia THREE TIMES refused to initiate a criminal case against the Manege! Three times the demonstration of blasphemous images of the Lord Jesus Christ with open genitals, an ugly mask instead of a Face and a gutted body was not recognized by the Investigative Committee as an insult to our religious feelings.

I am charged with damaging the drawings on pieces of linoleum, perceiving - and I quote the indictment - "the indicated exhibits as a defiantly disrespectful depiction of the figure of Jesus Christ, insulting my religious feelings." This is exactly how something exhibited in the Manege on the day of the beginning of the Dormition Fast is perceived by all Christians. To be convinced of this, it is enough to ask this question to any parishioner in the church.

The Investigative Committee considered this case three times. And I did not find any insult to religious feelings. Moreover, in each of the three decisions to refuse to initiate a criminal case, the words of the deputy director of the Manezh, Elena Midzyanovskaya, are quoted that the demonstration of blasphemous images and dirty parodies of the great saints took place, in her opinion, in accordance with the sovereign will of the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin: ".... the organizers of the exhibition have no purpose or intent to mock or, moreover, offend anyone's religious beliefs, as they act in strict accordance with the state cultural policy of the Russian Federation, approved by the President of the Russian Federation."

Of course, this is a compromise of the President, whose hand signed a truly epoch-making law on the protection of the feelings of believers... Perhaps not everyone in the Investigative Committee read and understood this law properly. And in the Ministry of Culture, there are probably still people who, recognizing such images as “cultural value”, have completely lost touch with their own people, who revere the shrine.

I am being tried for protesting against the exposition, which became possible only as a result of precisely such a mocking and defiantly contemptuous attitude of a number of state bodies towards the religious values ​​of our people. With a different attitude, no one would have dared to arrange such exhibitions, and I would not be sitting in the dock today. And there is no need to talk about the fact that Russia is a “secular state”, in which all believers must stoically endure the “creative searches” of those who think they have the right to scoff at what is sacred for the people around them. Today we live under the myth that creative freedom is limitless...

I have received and continue to receive dozens of letters of support from Christians all over the world. American Christians are especially supportive of me. They are amazed to the core and shocked by the fact that in the Russian state institution of culture, an unthinkably blasphemous exhibition, in which the Lord Jesus Christ was depicted in a pornographic and completely obscene form of His divine dignity, was completely free and unpunished. American Christians recently welcomed President Vladimir Putin's deployment of Russian troops to Syria to protect the country's persecuted Christian minority from ISIS Islamic terrorists. These monsters mocked the Syrian Christians in every possible way, humiliated their human dignity, tortured and killed them for their faith in Christ. And today, Christians in America are faced with the fact that while acting as a guarantor of the protection of the rights of Christians in the Middle East, Vladimir Putin does not protect the rights of Christians within his own country. However, no matter how unfair the decision of the judicial system, it is not a sin for me to accept it. The state failed to protect me and other Orthodox Christians from mockery of our dignity as believers. I defended myself and I am ready to pay for my right to act according to my conscience. But what I will not obey under any circumstances is the civil lawsuit filed against me by the government of Moscow for the restoration of images that offend the Lord Jesus Christ ... The point, of course, is not the exorbitant amount of 1 million 169 thousand rubles for the “repair” of four pieces of linoleum. It is a grave sin for a Christian woman to pay for the restoration of blasphemy even with one symbolic penny. Even if the blasphemous images were damaged, paying for the restoration of blasphemous images in their original form would mean for me to stop being a Christian. I will never do this...

To pay for the reconstruction of blasphemous, blasphemous images for me is to give up my faith by court order. I will never do this.
At the same time, all the clergy with whom I consulted unanimously told me that my Christian duty is to exhaust worthy means to prevent a possible conflict between the requirements of the Faith and secular law before civil disobedience. Therefore, I ask the representative of the Moscow government, officially present here, to convey my request to withdraw the claim to the city authorities and personally to Mayor Sergei Semenovich Sobyanin. The position of Lyudmila Esipenko undoubtedly causes deep respect. But the behavior of statesmen is contempt. And questions. For example, like this: Why the investigation did not evaluate the actions of the organizers of the blasphemous exhibition? After all, there is a clear legal norm (Part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code): “Public actions expressing clear disrespect for society and committed in order to offend the religious feelings of believers are punishable by a fine of up to three hundred thousand rubles or in the amount of wages or other income of a person convicted of period of up to two years, or by compulsory labor for a term of up to two hundred and forty hours, or by forced labor for a term of up to one year, or by deprivation of liberty for the same term.

It seems that our laws work selectively. What would happen, for example, if the Prophet Muhammad or some Jewish shrine were depicted in the same way in the Manege? The president, and the mayor, and the prosecutor, and even Patriarch Kirill would have risen, that would have been a noise!

By the way, even during the work of the exhibition and immediately after its scandalous closure, more than one thousand Orthodox Christians from all over Russia sent complaints to the prosecutor's office and the investigative committee that the exhibition offended their religious feelings, and demanded that the exhibition be checked for the presence of corpus delicti under the Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. There were appeals to law enforcement officers and later. A recently, with a letter in defense of Lyudmila Esipenko, Orthodox activists turned to Vladimir Putin, they collected many signatures under a letter to the mayor of Moscow Sobyanin with a request to withdraw the lawsuit of the government of the capital. None of these requests received a single response! So you have to defend yourself.

Archpriest Alexander Shargunov called on the Orthodox to come on July 15 to the trial of Lyudmila Esipenko. He recalled the same debacle of the exhibition “Caution Religion” in 2003: “Then they hoped to bring our altar servers to justice. If you do not plant, then hard to teach a lesson. Archpriest Alexander noted with regret that times are different now: “The enemies of Russia and the Orthodox Church say that the time will come when the decision of that Tagansky court will be reviewed. They are striving for power, and already too much is in their hands.”
The case of Lyudmila Esipenko, according to father Alexander, is the best evidence that the enemies “fear nothing and are confident in their impunity, in their impudent position.

The hypocrisy and deceitfulness of state and church authorities are striking. On the one hand, President Putin, St. Kirill and their entourage speak beautiful and correct words about the protection of spiritual and moral values, and on the other hand, right there under the Kremlin walls, they dirtyly blaspheme the Lord Jesus Christ, the saints of the Orthodox Church.

And today it is not the organizers of the vile blasphemous Manezh exhibition that offended millions of citizens who are being judged, but an Orthodox Christian woman who stood up for the spiritual values ​​of Russia and all of Rus'.

Shame on you, the so-called Patriarch Kirill! Shame on you, patriarchs, talkative in praise of the authorities! This judgment today is not over the servant of God Lyudmila, but over you. You, first of all, had to stand up for the Orthodox shrines and their defenders, but you value the "symphony" with the godless power rather than with God.

However, let's take into account that the European Court of Human Rights took a completely different position. This is shown by his decision in Otto Preminger v. Austria, when so-called “free artists” complained that the arrest of the blasphemous film “Love Cathedral” allegedly violated their rights.

“By seizing the film, the Austrian authorities acted in the interests of ensuring religious peace in this region. Also, so that individuals do not get the feeling that their religious beliefs have become the object of unfounded and offensive attacks,” this is what the decision of the most authoritative human rights an institution whose practices, by the way, matter to the Russian courts, and I urge the representatives of the Russian Investigative Committee to learn from their Austrian colleagues.

My grandfather, Kuban Cossack Ivan Kuzmich Esipenko, holder of the Order of the Great Patriotic War II degree, was seriously wounded and came from the front one-legged.
I am not Judge Siduru. But the Trinity of Andrey Rublev cannot be protected by law on a par with the image of the gutted Christ by Siddur. This is unthinkable.

During these nine months, they did not find a single other object allegedly destroyed or damaged by me, except for those pieces of linoleum, of which I am accused of attempted murder.

However, no matter how unfair the decision of the judicial system, it is not a sin for me to accept it. The state failed to protect me and other Orthodox Christians from mockery of our dignity as believers. I defended myself and I am ready to pay for my right to act according to my conscience.

But what I will not obey under any circumstances is the civil suit brought against me by the government of Moscow for the restoration of images that offend the Lord Jesus Christ.

Despite the fact that, in contrast to the unconstitutional nature of my criminal prosecution, this civil lawsuit can formally be filed under the existing secular law of Russia, and does not contradict the letter of the Constitution.

The point, of course, is not the exorbitant amount of 1,169,000 rubles for the "repair" of four pieces of linoleum. It is a grave sin for a Christian to pay for the restoration of blasphemy even with one symbolic penny.

Even if the blasphemous images were damaged, paying for the restoration of blasphemous images in their original form would mean for me to stop being a Christian. I will never do it.

If the court satisfies even partially the civil suit of the government of Moscow, I will have no choice but to exercise civil disobedience. This is what I am commanded to do in the Fundamentals of the Social Doctrine of the Russian Orthodox Church.

This document directly prescribes civil disobedience in all cases where obedience to state laws, and therefore formally legal requirements of secular courts, “threatens eternal salvation, involves an act of apostasy or the commission of another undoubted sin against God.”
