In 1976, by decision of the Bryansk Regional Executive Committee medical School from the city of Starodub was transferred to the city of Novozybkov and housed in the building of the former biological faculty of the pedagogical institute.
In 1977, along with the nursing department, a second, paramedic department was opened at the medical school, and in 1989 the first group of students was recruited in the specialty “Orthopedic Dentistry”. In 2005, a department for advanced training of specialists with secondary specialized education was opened medical education. More than 500 students study here every year.
