Compatibility with other pesticides: As a rule, Vertimek, CE is not used in tank mixtures.

Period of protective action: 2–3 weeks.

Impact speed: The pests stop feeding within a few hours; the death of the pests occurs 3–5 days after the use of the drug Vertimek, EC.

Application technology: The cleanliness of the tank, main pipelines and nozzles, as well as the serviceability of the entire sprayer, is checked before starting protective work. Then the quantity and uniformity of water supply through the tips is determined and compared with calculated data on the consumption of working fluid per 1 ha.

Apply the product when pests first appear. For low and medium infectious loads, one treatment is sufficient to ensure effective protection culture. If the number of pests is high, re-treat after 7 days. The flow rate of the working fluid must be sufficient to completely wet the entire leaf surface of the crop. Do not allow the drug to drain from the treated leaf surface. Spraying is carried out in the morning or evening in calm weather, preventing the product from drifting onto neighboring crops. After finishing work with the product, thoroughly rinse the sprayer and spraying equipment.

Do not process under extreme conditions high temperature and air humidity; using equipment that provides large droplet spray.

Do not sprinkle water within 24 hours after spraying.

Procedure for preparing working fluid : fill 1/4 - 1/2 of the sprayer tank clean water. Turn on the mixer, add the calculated and measured amount of the drug and continue filling the sprayer tank while stirring. Continue stirring during processing to ensure uniformity of the working mixture. The working solution must be used within several hours after preparation.

Phytotoxicity: When using the drug in strict accordance with the recommendations developed by the company, there is no risk of phytotoxicity.

Possibility of resistance: Absent subject to strict adherence to the recommendations developed by the company. To prevent resistance, it is recommended to alternate drugs from different chemical groups that differ in their mechanism of action.

Storage of the drug: Store the drug in a dry warehouse for pesticides in the temperature range from –18°C to +35°C.

Shelf life: 4 years from the date of manufacture.

Instructions for use of the drug Vertimek:

The signal to use Vertimek is the first signs of pest detection. With their small numbers, only one treatment will be needed. If necessary, repeated treatments can be carried out at intervals of one week if the air temperature does not exceed 25°. In warmer and hotter weather, treatment can be carried out more often, every 3-4 days.

During spraying, you need to completely wet the leaves, while avoiding getting the product on the soil, incl. its dripping from the foliage. After spraying, cover the plant plastic film. It can be removed no earlier than in a day.

Important: the solution must be fully introduced within a couple of hours; it is not recommended to store it.

After completing the processing work, the sprayer must be washed.

To combat different types pests using Vertimek, the dosage of the drug will be different:

  • to affect thrips, you need to dilute 5 ml of the drug in 10 liters of water;
  • to combat ticks you will need 2.5-3 ml, diluted in 10 liters of water;
  • For all other types of pests, it is enough to dilute 1 ml of the drug in a liter of water.

Spider mites, aphids, and other insects destroy entire crops and damage bushes and trees. Instructions for use are supplied by the manufacturer with each package of Vertimek insecticide. Following the instructions, it is possible to cope with insects and save the plant from death.

On vegetable crops aphids that drink the juice from the leaves appear during the fruiting period. They curl, the ovary crumbles, and the bush disappears. Spider mites infect cucumbers grown in greenhouses. The pest settles at the bottom of the leaves and draws moisture from them.

The root-knot nematode, which is only 1.5 mm long, loves the roots of the crop. Having taken root in the tissues, it releases toxic substances, under the influence of which growths are formed where the larvae settle.

Vertimek copes with mites and thrips, fights other types of pests on cucumbers, horticultural crops and flowers.

How does the insecticide work?

The active component of the drug is abamectin. This substance is formed when bacteria living in the soil begin to ferment. The chemical group to which it belongs was isolated in Japan at the end of the last century.

When spraying a plant, the insecticide solution penetrates into the leaves. The insect swallows the composition along with the juice. Vertimek, releases gamma-aminobutyric acid, which acts on nervous system pests, so paralysis breaks them down. From the surface of the leaves, abamectin quickly moves into the tissues. The drug has virtually no effect on birds and beneficial insects.

To obtain a positive result when processing cucumbers in closed ground, the solution must be sprayed evenly over their surface, making sure that drops of the composition do not drain from the leaves.

Advantages of the insecticide

Vertimek effectively protects cucumbers from mites, which are not affected by other acaricides. The drug copes with thrips and leafmining insects, and has certain advantages compared to many insecticides:

  1. After spraying, it immediately penetrates into the leaf tissue.
  2. Protects crops from pests for a long time.
  3. Does not deteriorate the structure of plants and is well tolerated by them.
  4. The insects are paralyzed for an hour or two.
  5. Has little impact on beneficial fauna.

There are no spots left on the leaves when the crop is processed. After spraying, cucumbers can be consumed after three days. The insecticide belongs to hazard class 2, but it affects pests not only through the intestines, but also through contact.

If there is an insect invasion, the plant is treated again after a week.

Cucumbers and other crops should not be sprayed at high temperatures and high humidity.

To prevent pests from getting used to the composition, the drug must be alternated with Pegasus, Actellik, which have a different mechanism of action.

How to use insecticide?

Timely use of Vertimek for cucumbers saves the plant from death and quickly destroys insects. Treatment should begin as soon as pests begin to appear. Sometimes one spray per season is enough. If there is a need for a repeated procedure, the treatment is carried out a week later, during the heat after three days:

After the composition gets on the leaves, the cucumber bushes are covered with film for a day. Vertimek should be used 2-3 hours after dilution.

To cope with thrips, just dilute a teaspoon of insecticide in a bucket of water. When spraying plants against ticks, dissolve 2.5 ml of Vertimek in 10 liters of liquid.

To treat cucumbers against leaf miners, which gnaw tunnels in plant tissues, 1 gram of acaricide is mixed with a liter of water.

Security measures

Despite the fact that the insecticide belongs to toxicity class II, it must be handled with care. In case of contact with the skin, the composition can cause a burn; if inhaled, it leads to irritation of the nasal mucosa and redness of the eyes. To avoid the presence of unpleasant phenomena it is necessary:

  1. Spray the crop in the morning or evening when there is no wind.
  2. During the procedure, avoid eating, smoking, and drinking.
  3. Protect your eyes with goggles and your breathing path with a respirator.
  4. After treatment, wash your face and hands with soap.

The insecticide does not lose its properties for 4 years if stored in a dry, cool room, where the temperature is not lower than minus 15. Food and medicine should not be nearby.

If Vertimek gets into your eyes, rinse them running water. In case of drug poisoning, induce vomiting, drink several tablets activated carbon, consult a doctor. You should not take medications that depress the nervous system. After using the acaricide, the packaging must be burned.
