Statistics of exam takers. Unified State Exam Statistics. Unified State Exam results: regional differences

The Unified State Exam is an important stage in the life of graduates. This is a passport to the world of adult life, the first serious step to obtaining a profession. The Unified State Exam has two functions: it serves as a school graduation test and allows you to assess the applicant’s abilities for admission to a higher education institution.

The results of the 2016 exam showed that the attitude towards preparation on the part of students has become more serious. This is evidenced by the results, which this year are significantly better than last year. The number of high-scorers increased slightly and the number of those who did not pass the minimum threshold decreased significantly. This was also noted by Dmitry Livanov, the Minister of Education and Science of Russia.

In total, about 750,000 people took part in the process, including 640,000 graduates of 2016. The compulsory exams this year, as in previous years, were Russian language and mathematics. But besides them, there are a number of other disciplines: the popularity of some has increased significantly this year.

Popular items

Science subjects have become much more popular this year than last year. Chemistry, physics and biology were increasingly chosen by school leavers. Moreover, physics also pleased with the results: the number of students who did not achieve the minimum required grade decreased.

Exams in chemistry and biology brought less positive news. In these areas, there were more students who did not overcome the barrier - by 4%.

Number of passers, statistics

The 2016 Unified State Exam showed an increase in the level of training in compulsory disciplines. The number of students who failed to cross the minimum barrier to obtain a certificate has decreased by half. The results of the Unified State Examination in basic level mathematics became a clear indicator of this moment. Only 4.7% of students received insufficient points. In 2015, this figure was 7.4%. The exam in this area is assessed on a five-point system, the average score was 4.14. This is a very good indicator, since last year this score fell short of four by five hundredths of a point.

In physics, 6.11% of schoolchildren did not pass the minimum threshold when passing the exam. This is 0.4% less than last year. Positive trends are also observed when passing a number of other subjects. 84.1% of students achieved acceptable grades in history, 87% in geography, and 87.6% in computer science. Very good performance in English: in 2016, 98.1% passed the exam. The number of people taking a foreign language test is not yet very large, but the possibility of making this test mandatory over the next few years is being considered.

Dynamics of Unified State Examination participants who did not pass the minimum threshold

This year the number of students who passed the exams with 100 points has also increased. The number of excellent students increased by 401 people. In 2015, there were 4,608 examinees on the top list, and this year there are 5,009.

How did graduates pass the Unified State Exam 2016 in mathematics (major level)?

The results of the exam in specialized mathematics are needed in order to enroll in technical universities, as well as in specialties related to economics. Unlike the mandatory basic level, this version of the Unified State Exam is chosen by graduates. This year, about 439,000 students took the advanced level mathematics exam.

Mathematics at the profile level showed significant results in the direction of improvement. This year, 15.3% of students did not pass the Unified State Exam 2016 in specialized mathematics. Last year's figure was just over twenty-one percent. Considering the complexity of the subject, this is truly a remarkable result.

Also, some teachers and many parents noted that the exam was indeed difficult, but the difficulty lay precisely in the volume of tasks. A number of tasks required solutions on several sheets. The question still remains open, but it is impossible not to take into account significant improvements in passing this subject.

How did graduates pass the Unified State Exam 2016 in Russian?

The Russian language is also a mandatory exam; it is required to obtain a certificate of general secondary education. In 2016, test results improved significantly, although last year the results were quite positive. In total, 0.7% of students did not pass the Unified State Exam 2016 in Russian and did not cross the border to receive a certificate. In 2015, there were one and a half percent of such graduates. For admission to universities, as last year, the barrier is set at 36 points. Two and a half percent of students failed to cross this threshold. This is also less than in 2015 - then four percent of potential applicants missed the chance to enter a higher education institution.

There are also good results among those who passed the Russian language exam with a high score. This is considered any result that is in the range from 81 to 100. More than a quarter of students (25.5%) were pleased with such indicators. This is as much as 5.6% higher than the results of the previous Unified State Examination.

How many students did not pass the Unified State Exam 2016?

Last year's figures don't look so scary. In total, 1.5% of students did not pass the Unified State Exam in 2015 - this is what the preliminary and final data looked like for the tests as a whole. But in 2016 this figure is much better. As experts involved in statistics note, the figures for 2016 are about half as much. That is, we can say that the number of graduates who did not pass the tests and will not receive a certificate is approximately 0.7%.

What awaits graduates next year?

The 2017 tests may have some changes. Thus, one of the changes may affect exams in chemistry, physics and biology - the test part will be removed from the assignments. Thus, tests will disappear in almost all subjects. The task has been set to develop and test the oral section of the Russian language exam, and the creative part of the literature exam will also be studied. Weak schools will be taken under control. Comprehensive preparation work will help students have a better chance of successfully passing final tests. It is also planned to develop a unified system for assessing the quality of education, which will be as objective and convenient as possible. Some of these changes will come into force in 2017, others may come into force later.

No other particularly serious changes are planned in this area, but experts note that much attention will continue to be paid to the technical preparation of the process. Qualified control, comfortable conditions, honest scoring systems - all this will be a priority in 2017.

Prospective graduates should not be afraid of the upcoming exams next year. You need to believe in yourself, show a little perseverance and responsibility when preparing - and the dream of high scores on the exam will become quite real. Practice shows that the pass rate is very high and increases every year. Moreover, now without any problems you can find many opportunities for additional preparation for the Unified State Exam. This allows you to successfully prepare for exams and “pull up” your knowledge even for lagging students who find it difficult to study a particular subject. Thus, now online courses for preparing for the Unified State Exam are becoming increasingly popular. They allow future graduates to improve their skills with maximum convenience, without taking extra time from their main studies and other matters.

Those wishing to do well in mathematics and physics should read this. You are also planning to launch a program to prepare for the Unified State Exam in the Russian language in the near future. Our service offers online distance learning. Every student who puts in the effort and manages his time wisely will be able to get decent scores. Getting a certificate and enrolling in a higher education institution is not as difficult as it might initially seem. Every year, a significant number of students receive not just good, but better scores. If this opportunity is available to one graduate, then another will be able to cope with the tasks, if not one hundred percent, then very close to this result.

Table 1

Average USE score 2017 in physics

155,281 people took part in the Unified State Exam in Physics in 2017, including 98.9% of current year graduates. In percentage terms, the number of participants in the Unified State Exam in Physics has not changed and is about 24% of the total number of graduates of the current year.

The largest number of Unified State Examination participants in physics is noted in Moscow (9943), Moscow region (6745), St. Petersburg (5775), the Republic of Bashkortostan (5689) and Krasnodar Territory (4869).

The average USE score in physics in 2017 was 53.16, which is higher than last year (50.02 test points).

The minimum Unified State Exam score in physics in 2017, as in 2016, was 36 tb, which corresponded to 9 primary points. The percentage of exam participants who did not achieve the minimum score in 2017 was 3.78%, which is significantly less than the percentage of participants who did not achieve the minimum limit in 2016 (6.11%).

Compared to the two previous years, in 2017 the proportion of unprepared and poorly prepared participants (who scored up to 40 thousand points) decreased significantly.

The share of graduates demonstrating average results (41–60 points) remained practically unchanged, while the share of high-scorers (81–100 points) increased, reaching the maximum values for three years – 4.94%.

278 exam participants scored the maximum test score, which is higher than the results of the previous two years.

The maximum initial score for the work is 50.

For the Unified State Exam in Physics, the range from 61 to 100 test points is also significant, which demonstrates the readiness of graduates to successfully continue their education in higher education organizations. In 2017, this group of graduates increased significantly compared to the previous two years and amounted to 21.44%. These results indicate an improvement in the quality of physics teaching in specialized classes.

Finishing school is the beginning of a new stage in everyone. Many people want to continue their studies in higher educational institutions and acquire a certain profession. According to the requirements, school graduates must pass exams in relevant subjects. Unified State Exam statistics make it possible to evaluate test results by year and identify the weakest ones in the country.

Basic information

The Unified State Exam is a unified state exam, which is held in secondary educational institutions (schools, lyceums, gymnasiums). Rosobrnadzor is responsible for their implementation. The language used is Russian. The first exams were held in 2001 in the Samara and Rostov regions. In 2008, Unified State Exam statistics included more than 1 million students taking exams in the country. A year later, the Unified State Exam became mandatory for admission to.

The results are given on a 100-point system. It is necessary to overcome the minimum level, which is approved every year in all subjects. Unified State Exam (minimum) by year:

Does the law provide for age restrictions? No. According to statistics, the age of those taking the Unified State Exam varies. For example, in 2016, a 78-year-old applicant wanted to enter the journalism department.

An important factor is the psychological preparation of students. There are known cases when students committed crimes because of the Unified State Exam. In 2016, in the Volgograd region, a 16-year-old schoolgirl committed suicide after passing mathematics. In her suicide note, she asked to cancel the Unified State Exam and not torment him anymore.

Required subjects

To receive a certificate, students must take Russian language and mathematics. Students choose other subjects voluntarily. Unified State Examination statistics by year (Russian language):

Since 2015, mathematics has been divided into specialized and basic levels. The first one is needed for admission to universities. What are the statistics for passing the Unified State Exam in mathematics? More than 6% of graduates cannot achieve the minimum score in this subject. While the minimum level of the Russian language is incomprehensible for 3.7% of schoolchildren.

Application Rules

You can find out about registration places on the official website of local governments. You must submit your application by February 1st. The exam consists of 3 stages:

  • early;
  • basic;
  • additional.

Exams are usually taken early by graduates of previous years who want to improve their results. Current year students can take exams early with the consent of the school’s teaching council.

Unified State Exam statistics for 2017 include 86 thousand graduates from previous years. Persons who do not achieve the minimum passing score in compulsory subjects may retake the exams.

How to view results

When the results are ready, you can view them online at ege.edu.ru. It is enough to enter the following data:

  1. Registration code.
  2. Passport details (number).
  3. Region.

Level of knowledge

To understand whether the level of knowledge of the new generation has improved, it is necessary to compare the exam results of graduates. Statistics of Unified State Exam results by year (2016–2017):

The head of Rosobrnadzor said that thanks to systematic work with weak schools, there has been a decrease in the number of participants who have not passed the minimum threshold in all subjects.

In 2017, statistics of those taking the Unified State Exam counted 703 thousand people, of which 617 thousand were current year students. 391 thousand students passed specialized mathematics.

Unified State Exam 2017 statistics for Russia also show improved results. The average score in specialized mathematics increased by 1 point and amounted to 47.1. The number of students who failed the subject decreased by 1%.

Statistics on average Unified State Examination scores show that among the compulsory subjects, mathematics is the hardest for students. For the past five years, the average score has been below 49 points. The maximum result was in 2013 – 48.7. In the Russian language, the best results were recorded in 2016. The average score was 68 points.

However, average scores in other subjects were kept secret. Official sources publish little data. Unified State Exam statistics for schools and lyceums in Moscow (2015–2016) highlight the top ten educational institutions:

Unified State Exam statistics for schools give first place to the HSE Lyceum. In second place is Lyceum No. 1535. The top three in terms of number of graduates is closed by center No. 57.

Indicators by region

Unified State Exam statistics by region show different results. The economic situation affects the level of knowledge of students. Not many people can afford to study with a tutor. In some regions, schools are less well funded. Therefore, qualified teachers leave there.

This trend is observed not only in Russia. For example, according to the results of the educational assessment in Ukraine, only 28.4% of urban school graduates have a high level of knowledge. While in rural areas the figure is 8%. Statistics of the Unified State Exam results show that economic and educational characteristics determine the final scores by 64% in Russian and 53% in mathematics.

The lowest grades are received by students from schools in the Far East. Profile mathematics is well passed in the Perm region and Udmurtia. But graduates of the Orenburg region receive the highest scores in the Russian language. Good grades are also received in St. Petersburg and Perm. Whereas in Dagestan the number of students who scored 100 points increased.

Every student completing a high school course is required to take the Unified State Mathematics Exam in our country. We will not go into details of possible changes in the form of the exam and those exceptional cases when a graduate, being the winner of, for example, the All-Russian Olympiad, automatically receives 100 points for the Unified State Exam.

Let's look at the results of the Unified State Examination in mathematics in previous years, when it contained both very simple problems, complicated ones that could be solved by graduates of regular schools, and very complex ones that required special training. Based on statistics published on the Official Information Portal of the Unified State Exam ( http://ege.edu.ru/ru/main/satistics-ege/), the picture turns out to be as follows:

Results of the recent Unified State Examination in mathematics

In fact, throughout the entire 11th grade (and sometimes longer), students prepare for the final exam, which for some of them is also the entrance exam. And what is the result? The majority of graduates wrote the Unified State Exam with 51-60 points (26%), the percentage of “twos” is very noticeable (up to 20 points, this is about 6.2% or almost 50,000 people!), and only 0.7% of all students were able to pass the Unified State Exam by 91-100 points! And in general, only 8% of all children who completed the 11th grade of high school were able to pass with decent scores (more than 70) required for admission to the country’s leading universities.

It is interesting to compare the results of the Unified State Exam in mathematics with the results of the Unified State Exam in the Russian language.

Unified State Examination results in mathematics and Russian language

We see that successfully passing the Russian language was incomparably easier. The turning point in points occurs around 60. This is also shown by the average score: in Russian - 63.4, in mathematics - 48.7.

At the same time, 2,559 people wrote work worth 100 points in the Russian language, and 538 in mathematics (i.e., almost five times less), which is less than 0.07% of all results.

It is in mathematics that there is the lowest percentage of maximum results among all subjects taken in the form of the Unified State Exam! And these are still “optimistic” statistics! Not so long ago, after a series of scandals surrounding the Unified State Exam, the high results were carefully rechecked, and as a result, only 64 people received the maximum score in mathematics - 8.4 times less than the year before! As a result of inspections, the proportion of graduates who passed with more than 80 points also decreased.

Now let’s look at the results of graduates of the same year who were trained at Matematushka. 32 people scored more than 70 points, of which: 71-80 – 19 people, 81-90 – 9 people, 91-100 – 4 people.

Now these are students of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, National Research Institute "Higher School of Economics", Russian University of Economics. G.V. Plekhanov, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Moscow State Technical University. N.E. Bauman, Federal University under the Government of the Russian Federation and other prestigious universities in our capital.

Among the graduates of “Matematushka” there is also a 100-point result for the Unified State Exam. Ivan Pavlov received it in a year when only 157 people from 43 regions of Russia passed the exam with the maximum score. It is logical that among all the faculties, Ivan chose Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University. Konstantin Slavnov, who entered the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology of Moscow State University, was very close to this result. He passed the Unified State Exam with 98% (at that time 214 people passed the Unified State Examination in mathematics with 100 points, which amounted to 0.03% of all graduates).

Thus, “Matematushka” carefully prepares its graduates, and they successfully pass the Unified State Exam not only with high, but even with maximum scores! Which, as one could see from the Unified State Exam statistics, is a very, very rare result.
