Studio apartment design 40 square meters. We will draw up a renovation project and show you design options for a one-room apartment. Zoning or solving all problems

Alla Bondareva, 34 years old

My husband and I purchased a three-room apartment of 66 m2, it required serious repairs, so we decided to turn to a professional company. Friends recommended us the Repair Studio, paid attention to meeting deadlines and good prices. We found her website on the Internet, studied it thoroughly and eventually called the Studio. We had our own idea of the apartment after renovation, which we told the foreman, and then received advice from him. After the renovation, the apartment looked like we wanted, the workers turned out to be good guys and did the renovation conscientiously. We are especially glad that the repairs did not take too long, the company met the deadline and fortunately the cost did not increase) It is very pleasant that the workers cleaned up after the work and left the apartment clean. As a result, I was left with a very good impression from the renovation in general and from the employees of the Repair Studio, I recommend it to everyone.

Evgeniy Plotnikov, 52 years old

A few months ago I renovated my two-room apartment at the Studio Repairs company, I was pleased, the renovation was beautiful! Ordered major renovation, I really hoped that I didn’t make a mistake with the company. Special thanks to foreman Alexander for his help in selecting materials, now I understand this a little. He suggested where you can save money and vice versa, where it is better to spend a little more money, but the repair will be longer lasting. I also didn’t have to go to hardware stores all day, the materials were chosen via the Internet, and the company then delivered everything itself, so I saved time and effort. When the renovations in the kitchen and bathroom were completed, I realized that the work was done well and all the worries were over. On the downside, I saw an error at the end, but the workers immediately corrected it without any further discussion. In the end, my two-room apartment looked great, thanks to the Repair Studio!

I thank the company Repair Studio for beautiful apartment. I am writing briefly, I am very pleased with the quality of the work, and most importantly, the company managed to complete the repairs on time. I planned to rent out the apartment, so I needed to freshen it up and ordered cosmetic repairs. I myself spent a long time choosing a company mainly based on reviews, so I want to note that, Repair Studio good option.

Arina Alekseeva, 31 years old

I am writing a review about the Renovation Studio six months after the apartment was renovated. We did a turnkey renovation 2- room apartment. When I was looking for a company, I took into account the most important factors for me: price, possibility of installments (!), good reviews and examples of work. I reviewed many sites, good and not so good, and finally chose several companies. Then I called them, clarified the prices, and settled on the Repair Studio. After drawing up an estimate, we decided to arrange an installment plan, which was very convenient for us. As the renovation progressed, we decided to remodel, combining the kitchen with the living room; we had been dreaming about this for a long time)) although the cost of the renovation increased after that, the result was amazing!

Apartment 40 sq. m., despite such a relatively small footage, it is quite practical, convenient and ergonomic design, which best meets the living requirements.

When the need arises to create a design for an apartment of 40 square meters, it is very important to take into account two things: this area is quite enough to implement global bold decisions, and also that all square meters should become as functional and useful as possible for the owners of the new home. To achieve a convenient layout, to make the room in which you will live original, so that there is always something to surprise guests, you need to use interesting techniques, prepare a detailed project, and not be afraid to experiment.

Where does the repair begin?

The theater begins with a hanger, and the design of a one-room apartment, including a studio, begins with the creation of a project. Documentation and sketches will help you calculate the approximate cost, as well as get a clearer idea of what a one-room space will look like in the near future.

Such a project will be successful if you immediately pay attention to several points:

  • general budget, including a reserve fund for unforeseen expenses;
  • apartment layout features, competent use of all niches and protrusions;
  • number of permanently residing family members in a 1-room apartment of 40 sq. m, taking into account the requests of each of them;
  • presentation and style selection;
  • clear distribution of all required attributes and interior elements.

Application of design ideas

Today, ideas for changing the configuration of the room - combining or dividing the area - are especially popular. However, the relevance of such decisions cannot be applied to absolutely everyone. For example, if a family has a child, then the project of combining the living room and kitchen can be safely put aside, since in this case the housing will not be functional. Under such circumstances, you can consider the option of installing a permanent glass partition with a curtain, but you should approach this unusual solution very carefully and carefully.

Stylistic ideas for decorating a 1-room studio of 40 square meters are varied, they can be in different directions:

  • classical rigor;
  • ascetic minimalism;
  • natural eco-style;
  • modern high-tech;
  • country country;
  • elegant Provence;
  • daring art style.

Some ideas allow you to organically mix them and add something new and original. Here you will find various methods of zoning a room: starting from beautiful wooden partitions and ending with interesting transparent samples. Trends in the design of one-room apartments with an area of 40 sq m are associated with the play of contrasts and the highlighting of secluded “islands”. You can consider a project to create mirror zones to visually expand the space.

How to make the right choice

The project may be as follows design solutions, which will reveal the character of the owners of a one-room apartment. The interior of a 1-room apartment with an area of 40 sq. m can display tranquility, where there will be no excessive pretentiousness or flashy elements. Or, on the contrary, bright accents and immediately striking objects that exude positive aggression will find a place in the design.

Sleeping area design

Minimalism in a 1-room studio of 40 square meters can be elegant. For normal functioning, a person needs healthy sleep. If we talk about a one-room studio apartment, in which the area is at least 40 square meters, then it is possible to use part of the usable space to create a special niche. Then you will get a design where the sleeping place will appear as if on a pedestal, which will make the allocated area aesthetically beautiful, as well as practical, since there will be a place to put away bulky things.

The ideal place in a 1-room studio to place a bedroom set would be near the window opening, which can be decorated with short curtains. Such curtains will not take up “extra” centimeters of usable space, they will be easier to care for, and their operation will be easier. The design will be very successful, and the layout will be functional.

We must not forget that natural and artificial lighting visually expand the boundaries of a one-room apartment.

Despite the fact that the area in a one-room apartment of 40 square meters is not so small, you will need to use some techniques that will help visually increase the space.

Will make the room more spacious:

  • competent selection of colors, where light pastel colors will dominate;

  • arranging massive furniture along one wall, purchasing cabinets with closed doors;

  • the location of the dining area or seating area in the center of the room;

  • decorating various objects with a mirror or glossy surface and removing all visible sharp corners;

  • ensuring maximum access to natural light.

Kitchen area

The project, which has a fully built-in set, is made in light colors - this is a practical and reasonable solution for the interior design of the dining area of a one-room apartment. Items kitchen set must be functional and stylish. In order to make the dining area of a one-room studio as useful as possible, there are many solutions that will ensure its rapid transformation into a workspace.

The corner area, which is located near the opposite wall of the kitchen, can be done in darker colors. This design will allow you to organically place there soft sofa small sizes. If the overall kitchen area contains mostly solid colors, then a Provence era painting in a carved frame will fit harmoniously above the sofa.

A project where the kitchen is decorated primarily with glossy surfaces, an extendable table is installed, and a clear division of the area is observed will help visually increase the space without losing functionality.

Living room decor ideas

For separation kitchen area and the living room, you can use a wooden or artificial small partition, which may be suitable for installing a TV. Or transparent glass, which will look original and bring modern element, emphasizing the chosen design.

It is optimal to place a comfortable soft sofa and a seating area in the living room for receiving friends. In the corner there can be a spacious wardrobe with a large number of shelves. This item will not look voluminous if you choose the appropriate combination of colors in which the cabinet will merge with the main wall. The project can include several chairs and a small table located in the center to make it comfortable to drink tea while having a pleasant conversation with guests.

If blue, light pink, beige shades, which bring comfort and are conducive to relaxation. When preparing a design for a living room, they usually choose: golden, light green or brown colors.

The main thing is to try so that the interior of a 1-room apartment is not overloaded with details, unnecessary decorative items, bulky furniture or “heavy” shades. Bright indoor plants, large aquariums, elegant elements individual design will create lightness and freshness in the atmosphere of your one-room apartment.

We present you a new design project of a one-room studio from Int2. Despite the fact that the studio is only 40 sq. m, everything you need fits here: spacious kitchen, a relaxation area, a full-fledged sleeping area with drawers for storing linen and even a bar counter. As always, the guys presented a magnificent color scheme and unusual design ideas.

Design project for a studio apartment of 40 sq. m. from Int2

The main task was to create a beautiful and functional design interior design of a one-room studio, taking into account the minimum area of the apartment and a fairly reasonable cost of implementing the project. The studio interior is only 40 sq. m. m. The single space of a one-room apartment is functionally divided into a living room, sleeping area and kitchen. The entire interior is designed in light gentle tones with bright accents on individual details.

Design of a one-room studio apartment began with the installation of a central partition, into which a bar counter and cabinets were later installed. This functional element was simply necessary in the room. In addition to visually dividing the room into a cooking area, a dining area and a relaxation area, there is a TV on it. This made it possible to place the sofa against the wall, and not in the center of the room. The TV is equipped with a swivel arm, a mechanism that allows you to rotate the screen towards a chair or in reverse side to the bed.

The walls in the living room and bedroom areas are made of white decorative brick. This gives them texture and perfectly decorates the space. A lot of light wood was also used. This is a wonderful material that always harmonizes with white.

Living room combined with kitchen in a one-room apartment of 40 sq.m.

Despite the fact that this is a studio, the living room is somewhat separated from the kitchen. It cannot be said that this is a separate room, and at the same time, almost the entire cooking area is hidden from view. In the living room area, the bar counter is decorated with multi-colored boards, combined into an unusual geometric pattern. Above the bar counter there was a kind of window into the kitchen, so bar stools were placed on both sides.

Brick-like walls go perfectly with a sofa in “wet asphalt” color. Above the sofa is an animalistic poster with an owl. The white and gray palette is diluted with delicate and pastel shades of turquoise, blue, pink and yellow. Near the wall you can see a screen made of boards painted in the colors of the room and supporting the geometric theme. As additional lighting, on the side of the sofa you can see an unusual designer floor lamp. By the way, the sofa is folding. This made it possible to create two additional beds.

Kitchen in a one-room studio
Kitchen design in a studio of 40 sq. m is in harmony with other zones. The kitchen is designed in light colors. The main color is white, a lot of light wood. Bright accents can be seen on the wall. Geometric pattern in turquoise-yellow tones echoes the yellow carpet on the floor and light turquoise bar stools.

Area lighting is mainly represented by built-in spotlights white. Only above the tabletop as additional source There are three Edison light bulbs on long white cords. In the center of the wall is a painting of a deer in monochrome colors. The refrigerator is built into the closet, next to it is a built-in washing machine.

The hood above the stove is also built into top cabinet. The cabinets themselves reach to the ceiling, and there is workspace lighting from below. On the left edge there are beautiful shelves under light wood with snow-white porcelain dishes. On the apron is magnetic holder for knives.

From the kitchen there is access to the loggia.

The main goal of the project was to accommodate small area functional areas with space for additional storage. The bar counter in the center of the room plays several functions. On the one hand this dining area with cabinets and shelves for kitchen utensils and utensils, and on the other, a partition on which the TV could comfortably fit. In addition, on the bar counter you can see a whole bunch of design elements and interesting details. For example, a shelf for bottles and dishes found its place under the counter. At the bottom of the counter is a storage cabinet. There are several shelves on the partition at the edge. In addition, there is an additional folding shelf on the kitchen side, and the wall is decorated in chalkboard style with various inscriptions. Above the counter there is a cabinet with holders for glasses. On the edge of the wall there is a designer lamp on a wooden base.

The sleeping area in the studio project is 40 sq. m. m

Organization of a sleeping area in the interior of a studio of 40 sq. m (photo below) is made quite unusual. Instead of traditional partitions, the designers used a curtain, and the bed was raised onto a podium. This not only visually, but also functionally separated the sleeping area from the rest of the room.

Even though there is no window in the bedroom, the room is filled with natural light. Due to large window in the living area, in the bedroom there is enough natural light. There is especially enough light if you open the curtains. By the way, all the cornices in the house are hidden under wooden beams.

Additional lighting, as in the kitchen, is obtained from several lamps without lamps hanging freely on wires.

One of the main problems of small apartments is the lack of storage space, so in this project the partitions are “thickened” and turned into wardrobes, and the bed is raised onto a podium. Under the podium there are quite deep drawers. This is additional storage space for bulky items (such as blankets, pillows, bedding, etc.).

On the side of the bed there is a small hatch in which you can also store things or bed linen. This is not the first time designers from Int2 have used this technique. Another interior of a one-room studio with a similar solution you can look at .

Bathroom interior

Interior of a bathroom combined with a toilet also made in gray and white tones. Yellow accents dilute the colors. On the edge of the sink - built-in wall hung toilet. Above the toilet there is an unusual painting with a monkey. Just like the rest of the paintings in the house, it is made in monochrome. On the floor and wall there are dark gray, almost black tiles - a mosaic in the form of honeycombs (hexagons).

Adjacent walls are decorated with small white tiles. As always, Int2 designers came up with another fun decor - a word game. The bathroom door is yellow. The bathroom screen is decorated with wood-effect panels. Inside, there are several built-in shelves above the bathtub.

Balcony interior

The exit to the loggia in the layout is organized from the kitchen. In this rather small room there are wooden shelves on iron black pipes with books and plants. This rack is only 35 centimeters deep.

Opposite there is a folding table and a small seating area. The seating is made from repainted military boxes, which can also be used for additional storage. A couple of paintings of plants adorn the walls. Balcony frames with inside, like the drawers, are painted in a delicate blue shade.

Studio layout 40 sq. m
The general layout of the studio apartment is 40 sq. m. m (photo below). The general plan of the apartment shows that the wall between the corridor and the bedroom forms two wardrobes: a built-in wardrobe in the hallway and a small wardrobe on the side of the sleeping area. It is very convenient to have places to store clothes in different rooms.

It's safe to say that this is good design a project for a one-room apartment, because 40 square meters fit so much of everything you need. The designers undoubtedly coped with all the tasks.

For modern multi-storey buildings 40 sq. meters is the standard area of an apartment. "Khrushchev" buildings are usually smaller, and the housing of 40 square meters is more spacious. Here you can turn the most daring design ideas into reality, more variety is allowed - many choose just such a project.

You can not only create stylish design, but also to divide the space into certain zones: a children’s and common living room, a hall and a bedroom.

Possible difficulties

The main problem may be that organizing such a space rationally is quite difficult. When making repairs, you will need to highlight different zones:

  • living room;
  • place to work;
  • kitchen;
  • bedroom;
  • if necessary - a children's room.

If you want the space to be as functional as possible, you can opt for a two-level apartment, but this option, of course, is not suitable for everyone.

Thinking through the design of an apartment of 40 square meters. m, you need to take into account certain recommendations. You also can’t do without a designer’s flair and good taste. You can zone the space using pieces of furniture. To do this you can choose:

  • secretaries;
  • racks;
  • chests of drawers

If the layout is correct, you can visually do more, even relatively small apartment. To save as much space as possible in the room, you can purchase not a bed, but a transforming sofa. If this option does not suit you, simply move the sofa and bed together - back to back. This will create a fairly separate place: a leisure area and a sleeping area.

If you want to use various bright elements, remember that the most important thing is not to overdo it. Otherwise, the room will visually become even smaller. However, it is quite possible to make it bright small items furniture, other small interior details. They will decorate the room, but will not “shrink” it.

Many kitchens have so little space that you have to decide where best to place the dining area. The ideal option in such cases is a room. The table can become both a work and a dining table at the same time. It is worth noting that round table will look more neat than an ordinary piece of furniture - even if the home is small.

Some people think that the space above the head of the bed is only suitable for hanging a beautiful picture, but it can be used for much more useful purposes. You can hang shelves there. Some people don't like having things hanging over their heads. To check if you are comfortable with this, first hang one small shelf that has little weight. If nothing bothers you, hang heavier items - but in any case, you will need to make sure that the fasteners are of the highest quality.

Zoning

If at first the owner of the apartment usually likes the free space, then later it can even begin to irritate him. In such a room there is no place to isolate yourself from family members, to be alone - especially in cases where children also live in the apartment. To get out of the situation, you can divide the space into several zones. To do this, it is not at all necessary to use real walls: cabinets and fabric partitions will cope with this task.

Zoning can be done in a room decorated in any style you like.

The most common options for dividing a room into certain zones:

  • Closet. For zoning space, not classic pieces of furniture, but designs with open through shelves are more suitable. You can put everything you need on them. Moreover, such structures are not heavy or bulky. This furniture looks original and very stylish.
  • Special partitions. They are usually created from plasterboard and fabric.
  • Podium. It allows you to clearly define the sleeping area. Some people purchase curtains for the podium to cover the bed. Under the podiums it is usually easy to fit enough large shelves, thanks to which you will be able to free up the room as much as possible without cluttering it. Some hide in the podium not places for storing various things, but a bed that, if necessary, moves out using rollers. On the podium itself you can equip an area for children and a place to work. This option is very convenient, it will save maximum space.

Plants

Houseplants can also be used to divide a room into certain zones. For example, a beautiful phytowall is suitable for this. You can also use aquariums with plants, fish, and animals.

Great addition There will be original lighting - such an element of the interior will be very attractive and bright.

Unusual storage spaces

Even in a small room you can always find where to place chests of drawers and shelves. The most suitable places for this:

  • Under the window sill (however, it must be wide enough). You can put a small chest of drawers there.
  • Mezzanine shelves can be placed under the ceiling in the hallway. Usually seasonal items or items that are rarely used are placed there.
  • Walls. This perfect place for racks, shelves - and such products should not interfere with people’s movement. Shelves can also be placed in corners. This solution is very practical.

Furniture

Not all ordinary pieces of furniture are suitable for apartments with an area of 40 m2. The best options for such premises are the following:

  • Transformers. Such pieces of furniture are very functional.
  • Sliding wardrobes. They allow you to save as much space as possible in the room.
  • Modular, sectional designs. A particularly good option is custom-made (to fit the size of the room). You can combine the design exactly the way you want. Such headsets are also convenient because each element is made in a certain style - from a computer table to wall cabinet. You don't have to waste time matching pieces of furniture to each other.

Styles

Since the apartment is small, it should be decorated in a style characterized by an abundance of light shades. Most suitable options are as follows:

  • Classic style . Everything can be attributed to it vintage styles, which are time-tested. The main features of this direction in design are various light sources, the connection of all interior elements with each other, symmetry, adherence to proportions, and the use of natural materials. Classic style includes various vases, textiles, figurines, paintings. Fireplaces, arches, and stucco are often used.
  • Constructivism. The main principles of this style are functionality and maximum space saving, which is ideal for a small room. The visual expansion of space, compactness, and the presence of zone lighting are important.

  • Provence. The dominant shades in such rooms are light, very common white. The room should have an accent: a fireplace, a table, a beautiful bed. Light beige and soft cream shades are often found.
  • Scandinavian style. Such interiors are the embodiment of conciseness and moderation. The furniture is functional and reliable. Materials usually used natural materials(wood is often chosen to decorate rooms in the Scandinavian style). Such interiors are characterized by a large number of white and light brown shades. You can choose a bright accent: for example, a pattern on upholstery and curtains. Curtains should be light, not preventing daylight from entering the room (you can do without curtains). The walls are plain, most often plaster is applied to them.
