Smart floor system. Smart heated floor. GSM – heating control allows remote control

Warm floor in the apartment.

It is better to install warm floors in an apartment during the renovation stage - this is beyond doubt. You will be pleased to walk barefoot on warm tiles; it is not only pleasant, but also useful.

Currently, making such floors is not a problem, but the question arises about the quality of installation and use. Since the floor needs a certain time to warm up, and the thermostat is located nearby, you need to first turn it on, then wait for it to heat up, and only then go, for example, to the bath. In this case, most people either don't turn it on at all because they don't want to waste time warming up, or they don't turn it off and it heats up all the time. And at night, and during vacation, and when you are at work. Accordingly, it is unsafe and costly.

Heated floor control in a smart home occurs automatically. From the app on your smartphone, you set the time when the floor will be turned on and the time when it will be turned off. For example, you wake up at 8, go to the bathroom, the floor already greets you with pleasant warmth, then you go to the kitchen, and the floor is already warm. And when you leave for work at 9, you know for sure that the floor is turned off and will not “burn” electricity. Also, the heated floor can be controlled from a simple switch, the main thing is that you feel comfortable and comfortable. But everyone has their own level of comfort, which is why the floor heating sensor shows the temperature to which it needs to be warmed up. This means that each family member can set the optimal temperature for themselves.

Warm floor in the house.

Warm floors in a house are similar to those installed in an apartment, but are most often used for heating rooms in general. It is important to know that if there is no smart home, it is quite difficult to achieve optimal and coordinated operation of the heated floor and radiators. It will always be either too hot or too cold. And if we add air conditioning and ventilation to this, then optimal temperature will be very difficult to achieve. You will constantly turn on/off the air conditioning, heating and hood. It's terribly boring and inconvenient, is that what you're building a house for?

When all microclimate functions work in a single system, this is called a smart, warm home. We do not waste resources, but use them as efficiently as possible, based on the sensors of the MiMiSmart system.

It is difficult to imagine a Smart Home system without a heated floor. It additionally warms up the room, making it especially comfortable to get ready in the morning or relax in the evening. We can install a heating system in a children's room, bathrooms, living room, hallway, or in all rooms of an apartment or cottage.

Temperature regulation is carried out using various devices:

  • touch panel fixed in the room;
  • switch;
  • smartphone or PC through the program.

Every day more and more new inventions based on innovative technologies appear in the world.

Until recently, we did not know what a heated floor was, but now it has firmly entered our lives and is extremely popular. But today we have the opportunity to use not only warm floor technologies, but also smart floor technologies.

What is a smart floor?

This latest system heating, which has no analogues in the world. It is based on energy-saving technologies; its main task is to heat the floor to the desired temperature exactly where it is needed.

The design of the smart floor is an automated thermomat with carbon rods connected by a cable with a high degree of protection. It is the rods made of silver and carbon (carbon) that allow for mobility temperature conditions.

Unlimited possibilities: thermostats

How is the heating of the smart floor surface coordinated? The system has a temperature controller mounted in the wall and connected to a special sensor. By means of a cable connecting the carbon rods, the thermostat influences the heating process of the floor. It supplies current to the cable when heating is needed and stops the flow when it is not needed. The capabilities of the thermostat do not end there.

We are all different, we all have our own ideas about the threshold of comfort. Some people feel great even at a temperature of 22C, while others simply freeze at this temperature.

Today there are special regulators on sale, equipped with software that allows you to configure a specific thermostat specifically for your comfort conditions.

This makes it possible not only to set the temperature you need, but also to set temporary operating modes. Let's say you will be home in 2 hours. You set the appropriate program to the thermostat, and after 2 hours the system will heat the floor to the desired temperature. That is, like the other home appliances, the smart floor has a delay function.

Beware: smart floor! Installation and operation

A smart floor has many advantages compared to a conventional heated floor. This innovative technology, and it requires certain knowledge during its installation and further operation.

When installing smart floor elements, it is necessary to take into account that carbon rods ( heating elements) should be distributed evenly over the floor surface with the same spacing. This will ensure not only uniform heating of the surface, but will also protect against localized overheating in certain places. Overheating here is dangerous - primarily for the connecting cable.

Operating a smart floor does not require any complex technical knowledge. However, it must be remembered that sometimes advantages are also disadvantages in some way. For example, if you open a window at sub-zero outside temperatures, the system will identify a sharp drop in temperature and begin to operate at maximum capacity. This can lead to both overheating of the floor and failure of the entire system.

Modern smart floor technology can not only make our lives more comfortable, but also reduce heating costs. But no matter how smart the floor is, it also needs a smart person to control it.

The capabilities of devices for remote heating control are becoming more and more advanced every year (and what about the year - almost every month!). Developers of smartphone applications try to make them easy to use and easy to understand, even for untrained people. Let us briefly list only the main capabilities of such systems that support:

  • normal operating mode, when the set temperature is maintained throughout the house;
  • zone mode when various rooms there may be an individual temperature;
  • preventing defrosting of the heating system (freezing of pipes) during the cold season when you are away from your country house or dachas;
  • the ability to turn on the boiler in advance, for example, you need to warm up a country house when you plan to visit it on weekends or holidays;
  • always be aware of your work autonomous heating and, if necessary, diagnose it;
  • temporary mode, in which at different times during the day the house can maintain its own thermal regime with a significant reduction in material costs for fuel, for example, you can set the boiler to low power (and, accordingly, low fuel consumption) when going to work or on business, and turn on normal mode before returning.

Remote heating control means that any of these modes, as well as specific room temperature values, are changed using mobile communications, or heating is controlled via the Internet.
This approach is part of the ideology of creating “ smart home”, which entails the further development of all engineering systems home in order to ensure ease of use and create the most comfortable conditions accommodation.

Which heating system can be controlled remotely?

In country houses and cottages they are currently most often used two-pipe systems With forced circulation coolant: circulation pump pumps coolant throughout the heating system, which, thanks to the distributor comb, can be supplied to each heating device.
In such systems, as a rule, a safety block of the heating system is used to protect it from destruction in unforeseen situations, for example, in the event of an increase in pressure above the permissible level.
It is also necessary to have additional equipment to control the operation of the heating system: sensors, special valves and devices for adjusting coolant flow, and it is also necessary to combine various devices into an information network

Weather-compensated heating control

Today it is considered the most promising. In such systems, in addition to the room temperature sensor, a meter is also used external temperature air. In principle, a weather-dependent heating controller will work with one external sensor, but using two allows you to achieve more accurate mode maintenance and even implement self-adaptation of the system to specific temperature changes: if it gets colder outside, then the temperature of the coolant in the system increases in advance, if it gets warmer - then it decreases in advance. In addition to saving fuel, this reduces the inertia of the system, which increases its efficiency and also provides additional cost reduction. One of the basic points of weather-sensitive heating control can be used at a temperature of plus twenty degrees - at which the coolant temperature is taken equal to the ambient temperature, and the heating is actually turned off. It is also necessary to take into account zonal temperature control, i.e. if, for example, a large number of people have gathered in one of the rooms, due to which it has become hotter, then the system detects a local increase in temperature relative to the one set by the weather heating regulator and makes corrections in this zone.
In general, serious battles broke out on the Internet about - Is it worth using weather-sensitive automation at all or is it money thrown away? In short, the opinion of our specialists, confirmed, by the way, by reviews from numerous clients, is unequivocal - yes, it’s worth it, but not in all cases. And in which ones? Answer

Types of remote heating control systems

There are currently two systems in use for remote heating control:

  • using a set of equipment with an Internet gateway. In this case, a Wi-Fi router and an Internet network are required.
  • using a GSM heating control module. A special GSM module with a cellular operator SIM card is required.

Remote control of the boiler room using mobile GSM

What if wired internet not in a country house? How can you control the heating in this case?

Yes, very simply - using a special GSM module and, of course, mobile phone. In fact, the GSM module plays the role of your personal assistant - you called it, gave a command, for example, to heat it hotter by a certain time in advance - and the whole family will arrive in a warm and cozy home. Or, on the contrary, you forgot to turn down the boiler power in the morning when leaving for work - no question, you can do it right from work, via the Internet or directly from your smartphone while you are still getting to work.
A GSM module is a compact device with its own SIM card from any operator (it is important that it provides reliable signal reception in a given area), allowing you to control the indoor climate from any phone (satellite, mobile or fixed line), tablet or PC.

The undisputed leader in the GSM thermostat market is currently Russian company MicroLine company. The company produces wide range GSM modules for remote control heating boilers, including multifunctional controllers that provide control of the most complex systems heating.
You can buy it in the appropriate section on our website. GSM heating control

Depending on the settings made, your phone will receive short SMS notifications with various information and instructions for changing settings heating boiler, or receive phone calls with various information about the operation of the heating system. A special one is installed on the phone mobile application(there are versions for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone), allowing direct remote control of almost all operating parameters of the heating boiler.
The GSM heating control module is essentially a computer connected to external sensors and having the ability to change the operating modes of the heating system. Naturally, the module must be located in the area of reliable reception of mobile operators.

The GSM heating control module can operate in several modes:

  • automatic, when based on signals from installed sensors the controller supports specified modes according to a given program;
  • SMS heating control, when the heating system is controlled by sending SMS. In this case, when new data arrives, for example about room temperature, the controller accepts it for execution and begins to support it automatically;
  • warning, by sending alarm messages about the current condition of the house (gas leak, break in the water supply system, etc.);
  • remote control of other devices connected to GSM module(watering, lighting, alarm, etc.).

GSM – heating control allows you to remotely:

  • receive room temperature reports;
  • receive notifications about the current state of heating equipment;
  • change the operating mode of the system, increasing or decreasing the temperature, including separately in each room.

Heating control is not limited to these functions. In principle, any heating system can be converted into a remote one. To do this, it must have an automatic operating mode, and a special GSM controller must be connected to it to control the heating and communicate with the subscriber.

Is this not enough for you? Then look at the capabilities of multifunctional GSM controllers, for example: ZONT H-1000 or ZONT H-2000 The devices are complex and require professional knowledge during installation and configuration, so installation requires only highly qualified specialists - contact our company, we have them!

Remote control of the boiler using a set of equipment with an Internet gateway

Now let’s consider the option of remote heating control, if your country house or dacha has the Internet and, naturally, a Wi-Fi router (aka router).
Everything is much simpler here - you can look at the capabilities of the devices proposed below and forever forget about worries about the state of the heating system of your home.

Salus IT500 provides control and adjustment of operating parameters in a maximum of two heating zones, for example, in the 1st room on the first floor of the cottage and the shower room on the second floor.
The kit includes an actuator (boiler receiver), a room 2-channel thermostat (weekly boiler programmer, boiler control panel) and an Internet gateway connected to the Internet router (router).

Possibilities for controlling the heating system using a set of equipment with the Salus iT500 Internet gateway:

  • control of heating modes only (boiler and, if necessary, pump);
  • control of multiple heating zones;
  • control of heating and hot water supply of a country house.
  • maintaining different temperatures V different rooms, schedule of temperature conditions by day, hour and minute
  • 6 preset heating modes on delivery
  • heating control hot water, automatic control modes, including energy-saving and vacation mode.
  • a unique system for connecting devices via the Internet, providing reliable connection and control of the heating system: smartphone (or personal computer) -> Internet server -> router (router) -> thermostat -> receiver -> boiler

All equipment is wireless and communicates with each other via a radio channel, i.e. no need for gaskets electrical wiring. The room thermostat for the heating boiler is programmed for daily, weekly or 5+2 operating modes. The thermostat screen and applications for remote heating control display the current state of the boiler, the current temperature and the set one. Setting the operating schedule can be done from the thermostat panel, through an Internet browser or using a mobile application.
The thermostat has modern design, is highly reliable and safe when used.
Using additional Salus Controls equipment, control is possible, including remote control, warm floors, gas and electric boilers, oil heating systems, as well as almost any other heating systems and devices.
Remote control does not require a dedicated external IP address, the entire system works perfectly on any mobile Internet (Yota, Megafon, Beeline, etc.), it is also possible to control from computers and mobile devices on operating systems Android and iOS.

What to do if there is no wired Internet in the house, but you have already purchased a Wi-Fi Internet thermostat?

Most likely, the dacha has coverage from mobile operators, isn’t it? So you also have the Internet! Just buy a Wi-Fi router with USB port and in addition to it a 3G or 4G modem. Install a SIM card from any mobile operator into the modem, providing a reliable signal in the area where your home is located. You insert the modem itself into the USB connector of the router and that’s it - now you have the opportunity to control the heating of your dacha remotely!

If the iT500 seems expensive for some, the company offers a more budget-friendly solution - an Internet thermostat Salus RT310i
The thermostat has somewhat reduced capabilities compared to its “big brother”, but may turn out to be a worthy replacement for it, thanks to the lower price of the kit. Externally, the RT310i looks more modest compared to the first-class high-tech design of the iT500; it lacks touch controls, but in terms of functionality the models are almost identical. Except that while the iT 500 is capable of controlling 2 zones of heating or cooling, the RT310i can only control one zone.

Missing the iT500's features? No problem - Salus iT600 can do everything and more!

If you do not have enough iT500 functionality to control only two heating zones, then a more functional one is presented on our website multi-zone(there are wired and wireless versions) system Salus iT 600 Smart Home. Indeed, its capabilities for remote heating control (and more!) are enough for even the most demanding consumer!

By far the most in an efficient way heating the house is . Not only the comfort and durability of the system, but also the efficiency, as well as resource savings compared to other types of heating, depend on the correctly selected type of temperature control. In this article we will look at the most modern systems control of water and electric heated floors. Below you will learn how you can remotely control heating in a country house via the Internet, wifi or even SMS messages.

Electric heating

To control floor heating, mechanical and electronic thermostats are used, which, using a remote probe, take readings and maintain the temperature at a given level, regardless of environment and time of day.

Programmable thermostats allow you to turn on surface heating at a given time, days and weeks, and thereby obtain significant savings. They are equipped with functions such as getting up in the morning, working day, evening, getting ready for bed. Some models are equipped with an anti-freeze function, maintaining a minimum positive temperature in the room, thereby preventing the room from freezing in the absence of people.

There are paired thermostat controllers that allow you to control electric heated floors in different rooms from one place. These devices allow you to save on the purchase of one controller, instead of several individual copies, which in monetary terms will be much more expensive.

Models of thermal controllers with radio access allow you to work with four separate modules. Readings from the sensors are displayed on a remote control and it is possible to monitor the temperature of the floor and air in the rooms. Electronic multi-zone programmable microcontrollers with radio access are combined into executive modules consisting of underfloor heating heating elements and electric radiators. Such devices are connected to a smart home system and allow you to monitor the modes in each room separately, as well as set days, weeks, and operating hours.

At the moment, MCS 300 built-in modules have appeared on the market. This device can be used to control electric heating via wifi interface. On a home network via a Wi-Fi router, it allows you to connect to such devices through special programs from anywhere in the world. Using the program, you can simultaneously interact with 32 thermostats. Access devices from multiple locations, including over the Internet. Using a mobile phone, tablet or computer, the operating mode, time and degrees are set.

You can learn more about remote control of electric heated floors by watching this video:

Control over the system via phone

In addition to MCS 300, devices are used for control via the GSM network, via SMS commands. This remote control is part of a smart home and allows you to receive operational information about the status of sensors through messages such as intrusion, temperature, lighting, resource consumption (for example, water and light). Also, via SMS commands, you can turn on underfloor heating, a boiler, etc. in advance.

Water system

The ability of the water heated floor control system to respond in a timely manner to changes in the temperature of not only the coolant, but also to the condition external environment, the feeling of comfort depends on being in the room. And to reduce the inertia of the system, controllers with weather-dependent regulators are installed, room thermostats and damper servo drives on each heating loop.

This unit is designed to maintain a set temperature and control coolant flow in the heating circuit. It is equipped with the necessary adjustment equipment and elements that ensure stable operation of the circuit, as well as preventing the pump from operating on a closed plug.

The figure below shows an adaptive circuit of a thermal controller with a PID controller that regulates the state of the coolant depending on the outside temperature.

Due to the presence of a digital interface in these controllers, it is possible to connect to a smart home system for wireless control and parameter settings via the network and the Internet.

That's all I wanted to tell you about how to do automatic control warm floor with your own hands. As you can see, there are quite a lot of ways and you can choose the appropriate option not only for electrical system heating, but also for water. We hope our instructions were clear and useful for you!

Greetings, dear users of the gvozdem .ru project. In this article we will talk about such a wonderful invention as a heated floor with an electric heating system and a concrete installation system. In addition, you will learn about such a wonderful addition as remote control for this type of design. This so-called device was specially created for smart homes, which have already become widely fashionable.

So let's get started. First, let’s figure out what a heated floor actually is, and then we’ll begin to consider the installation technology.

Remote control

Warm floors, whether with electric or water heating, have recently become extremely popular and are being installed both in houses and apartments. These floors allow you to achieve the desired comfort and convenience, but recent innovations have made the process of using a warm floor surface even more enjoyable. The thing is that now it is possible to control your gender from a distance. For example, you can give a heating command half an hour before you arrive home, and by the time you arrive, the floor will already be quite warm, which, of course, is very nice, especially if you entered the room from a cold street . Remote control is carried out by installing a special GSM module, into which, in turn, a SIM card of your mobile operator is installed. By sending a special SMS to the SIM number installed in the module, you can set certain commands. So, no matter how far you are from your home, you can always control it. Great, isn't it?!

Of course, such remote control can be installed on any type of heated floor, however, as you probably guessed from the title of the article, we will consider an electric heated floor with a concrete installation system, since for this solution this is the most effective option.

Advantages and disadvantages

Before we finally begin installation technology, I would like to introduce you to the advantages of electric heating. First of all, of course, this is speed: your floor will heat up in a matter of minutes. And the second, no less important advantage is: an easy installation system and, in turn, in the event of a breakdown, you can relatively easily carry out repairs.

Among the disadvantages of such a heated floor, one can highlight only its uneconomical nature, however, if your operating conditions include the use of a heated floor for small areas or say, for example, you need from time to time to quickly, but not for a long time, warm up the floor in your country house - electric heating is an ideal option.

Installation technology

Now let's get acquainted with the installation technology. By the way, unlike water heating, you can easily design an electric heated floor yourself, since here you only need to buy the necessary materials and follow our instructions, whereas in water heating you will need a professional to calculate the contours of the heat pipe for uniform heating of the surface floor.

    The installation of a heated floor should begin with preparing the base surface. If yours is not completely even, you can create the most thin layer rough leveling screed.

    When preparatory work completed, we begin to create a vapor barrier. This important stage, because if you do something wrong, condensation, which accumulates due to the meeting of warm air and cold air, will get into the insulation. Moisture will fill its pores and it will stop functioning. All this will ultimately lead to the fact that your floor will heat up more slowly, weaker, and all this will take more energy. The role of vapor barrier is played by the usual polyethylene film. To do it right, carefully tape the individual edges of the films together to form a uniform coating. If there are holes on the surface, cover them with the same tape.

    When this simple work is completed, thermal insulation can be laid. It prevents heating of the lower part of the floor structure, thereby directing warm air exclusively up. More often, polystyrene foam or, as it is also called, polystyrene foam board acts as insulation. Although it is a known fact that the higher the density of the insulation, the lower its thermal insulation properties, but in the case of gender, nothing can be done. If you take the density too low, your floor will sag in the future. Therefore, when purchasing this product, check whether it is suitable specifically for the floor. It is necessary to lay the insulation with a gap from the wall of approximately 1-1.5 cm. This is necessary so that during the process of compression and expansion under the influence of temperature changes, concrete screed, which we will pour over the insulation, did not crack.

    Next, at the next stage, the heating electric element itself is installed directly. Now on sale it is presented in the form of a carpet, which should simply be rolled out over the surface, letting only the power and control wires out. Speaking of management: think in advance where you will hang your GSM module so that in the future you do not have to lay unnecessarily long wiring.

    On top of this carpet, since we have chosen a concrete installation system, we should construct a screed approximately 4 cm thick and, as I already said, we will pour it with a gap from the wall. Filling the screed begins with the installation of beacons. They come in wood, aluminum and other materials, but in appearance they all look like planks. It is installed in a layer of concrete mortar and then leveled. It is best to install beacons at a distance of 1-1.5 m, depending on the size of your room and the “rule” tool, the name of which comes from the words edit, equalize. When the solution in which the beacons are fixed gains strength, you can begin pouring the floor between these planks. The floor surface is brought to the desired plane using a rule that is pulled along the beacons, thereby removing excess mixture. Since it is sometimes not possible to reinforce the floor structure using an electric heating system, a plasticizer must be used as a replacement. It is added to the concrete mixture, making it stronger and more elastic. When the concrete screed has gained strength, we begin to create the final floor covering. It is better to use materials like tiles, stone, etc. They transfer heat well, unlike wooden coverings, so your floor will heat up quickly and with less energy. The gap that we left against the wall can easily be closed with a floor plinth.

That's all, there is nothing complicated. As you can clearly see from the description of the technology, you can create the smart home of your dreams completely independently, without any special skills.

Good luck with your renovation!
