In order to effectively organize the adjacent space and combine the spa area and the relaxation and entertainment area, it is convenient to combine open extensions to the house with the main building. There are many possibilities for creating such multifunctional objects, for example, projects of bathhouses with a terrace and barbecue, photos of various interesting solutions talk about the increasing demand for such a solution.

Advantages of combining a bathhouse with a terrace and barbecue

Combining several objects in one room helps:

  • create maximum comfort;
  • correctly zone the site, dividing the space into a recreation area and an area for agricultural plantings;
  • simplify site maintenance;
  • reduce construction and operating costs in the future.

Traditionally, a terrace is an open or glazed area connected to a bathhouse by a common roof and foundation. The size of the terrace can be different, it all depends on the size of the plot, the hospitality of the owners and the size of the family, but the optimal size is 8-10 square meters.

Combining a spa area, including a bathhouse or sauna, and sometimes a small plunge pool with a terrace, has a number of benefits:

  • Saving space, the rest room can be located on the terrace;
  • Placement of additional devices, such as a barbecue oven or an open grill;
  • Simplification of connection of communications. For example, for lighting it is enough to lay one power cable with a common distribution board.

Also, a bathhouse with a barbecue terrace can partially serve as summer kitchen. During your vacation, you will have the opportunity to take a steam bath and have a small picnic at the same time; you don’t need to walk far from building to building, everything will be at your fingertips.

Contents of the project for installing a bathhouse with a terrace

Before starting construction, you should familiarize yourself with permitting standards Russian Federation for the construction of such structures.

According to the provisions of Part 17 of Article 51 of the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation, the construction of a bathhouse, as a construction for auxiliary use, does not require a special permit. But in order to secure property rights, and in accordance with Art. 25.3 of the Law “On state registration rights to real estate and transactions with it,” an object such as a bathhouse should be registered. To do this, there is a simplified procedure involving filing an application with ROSRESTR and paying the state fee.

This step will protect against possible fines for unauthorized construction in the future.

In addition, you need to remember that the location of the bathhouse relative to other buildings on its site or buildings on neighboring sites is regulated by SNiP 30-02-97 “Planning and development of territories of gardening associations of citizens, buildings and structures” and should not be less than 8 m.

Insertion into a collective sewer for outflow waste water, connection to electrical networks is not possible without agreement with local utilities and energy companies by obtaining and agreeing Technical Conditions(THAT.)

The design of a bathhouse with a terrace and barbecue should contain:

  1. Architectural and construction part. This section of the project includes views of all facades, a floor plan and a section. It is at this stage that it is determined future interior and exterior, and also describes:
  • foundation installation;
  • construction of external walls and roofing;
  • external and internal finishing.
  1. Engineering part. This section of the project includes diagrams for laying utility networks:
  • electricity and water supply;
  • installation of wastewater and sewerage.

An estimate with the cost of work is attached to the project. Design prices typically start at $500. You can use numerous projects on the Internet, but most often they do not contain the most important parts, such as laying a foundation or laying networks. This is due to the fact that foundation work and connection to engineering networks required individually, taking into account the characteristics of the site.

Even if the construction of a bathhouse on the site is carried out independently, in order to provide for everything in advance necessary work and materials, as well as estimate the cost, such a project must be done at least in a draft version.

Smoke removal should be provided in advance, depending on which boiler is chosen for the bathhouse, and also resolve the issue of smoke removal for the barbecue oven. The equipment manufacturer's instructions usually contain necessary requirements along the height of the chimney.

Since the barbecue is located in an open or well-ventilated area, there is no need to equip a classic high chimney. The pipe may be small size, but you should pay attention to the direction of the wind that is normal for the area so that the smoke does not blow back into the room. For an outdoor barbecue or grill, it is advisable to organize a protective zone so that coals and sparks do not damage the flooring boards. It is convenient if you have a small woodpile or a box for storing coal.

Projects of bathhouses with a terrace and barbecue. Material selection and standard solutions

One of the most common materials for building a bathhouse is wooden boards, timber or rounded log. This material “breathes”, is environmentally friendly, and holds heat well. Interior using natural wood creates a unique atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. But a wooden structure will require mandatory protection from excess moisture inside and the formation of mold as a result. Impregnation is also advisable wooden structures fire retardants to prevent fire.

Brick, shell rock or any other material is no less in demand for the construction of baths. natural stone. Especially if it's not traditional sauna or a sauna, or a hammam or a Roman bath with other temperature conditions. Building from stone has many advantages:

  • No significant measures are required to combat fire;
  • More possibilities for interior solutions;
  • Exposure to moisture does not lead to the rapid spread of mold and destruction.

The disadvantage is:

  • Longer time to reach the temperature required for the bath;
  • Higher fuel consumption, depending on the selected boiler system.

Table 1. Temperature depending on the type of bath

Regardless of the material chosen, it is necessary to carefully provide a ventilation system to remove condensate, especially if the stove is equipped with a light steam generator and a smoke removal system.

For example, required for a bath stove-heater requires proper installation of a chimney; an incorrectly connected pipe, with an outlet through flammable materials or excessively insulated can lead to a fire.

A heater stove can be made of brick with your own hands with a brick chimney. When performing these works, it should be taken into account that due to the fact that bottom part The stove is heated, the foundation of the bathhouse and the heater must be separate.

It should also be noted that:

  • The furnace foundation must have a depth below the soil freezing level of at least 0.7 m;
  • The size of the foundation must be at least half a brick larger than the cross-section of the furnace.

The construction of any building, including a bathhouse, begins with pouring the foundation. In the case of building a bathhouse with a terrace and barbecue, there is important point, which is definitely worth paying attention to. The bathhouse building itself must be laid under the terrace different foundation, because a bathhouse is heavier than a terrace. For a large bathhouse or a bathhouse made of brick or foam concrete, you need strip foundation, and for a small bathhouse a pile one is also suitable. Suitable for a regular wooden terrace pile foundation. If the terrace is located on difficult soil, prone to landslides or freezing, for greater reliability it is better to use screw piles. Since the structure of the bathhouse is heavier than the terrace, the soil under the bathhouse will sag faster than under the terrace, and this can eventually lead to damage to the entire building. To avoid such an imbalance, the foundations must be separated by a layer of insulation.

Bathhouse with barbecue terrace. Examples of cost-effective solutions

The most popular option for organizing a recreation area for a small area is a bathhouse, which includes:

  • Steam room with stove and beds for 3-5 people;
  • Relaxation area with a table and seats where you can relax

It is advisable to provide small premises for undressing, it can also combine the functions of an auxiliary room for storing bath equipment, towels and the like

It would be ideal to provide a small bathroom with a shower, but most often the site’s capabilities do not allow this. The most successful layouts can be found in the photo below or in the video in the article.

If the territory allows for the most organic organization of recreation space, a corner bathhouse project with a terrace and barbecue can be taken as a base. This layout allows for multifaceted use of space, allowing you to simultaneously organize recreation for groups of different ages. For example, while adults are relaxing in the bathhouse, a group of children can gather on the second terrace. Or the steam room may have two exits to the relaxation room and to the barbecue area.

Successful layout options for a corner bath and interesting option exterior finishing can be seen in the photo below.

functional area for complete relaxation. She may have different size, be built of timber or brick. For your attention - various projects such buildings with photos.

When planning to set up a place to relax in their garden plot, many owners dream of making it not only comfortable, but also universal. After all, it should be to the liking of all family members. And you also need to please the guests, fully providing them with entertainment and complete relaxation at fresh air. Project of a bathhouse with a terrace and barbecue, as well as a relaxation room - good option for such a case. It allows you to realize various ideas and combine them into your own mini-dacha complex.

Plan of a bathhouse with a terrace

There are many advantages to such a 4 in 1 project:

  1. Saving territory. There is no need to waste space not only on the buildings themselves, but also on the paths connecting one building to another.
  2. Reduced construction costs. For example, the wall of a bathhouse can simultaneously be the wall of a terrace. In addition, one roof will cost much less than several.
  3. Organization of comprehensive recreation. You can take a steam bath and then cook dinner using the barbecue - everything is nearby.
  4. Single style. Often, when constructing individual buildings, owners forget that all buildings must be in harmony with each other. In a combined project, this design issue is resolved very simply.

Types of bathhouse projects with a relaxation area

The choice of project is largely due to the size land plot. For example, classic version a bathhouse with a terrace measuring 6 x 9 m is suitable for owners of a large area. It will accommodate not only the whole family, but also a large group of friends. In this case, a common foundation is provided for the bathhouse and terrace. If you make the building two-story, then you can place a steam room and barbecue below, and arrange a guest lounge on the second floor.

If you want to attach a bathhouse to your house, use the 6 x 6 project. Thanks to its proportions, it will fit perfectly into the design of any area. This way you will significantly expand the area of the house and get a cozy open space for relaxation. It is ideal for enjoying fresh air directly from the cottage in any weather.

Bathhouse with veranda

Compact on the outside, but roomy on the inside, this is a corner bathhouse with a terrace. Often such a project is used in cases where it is necessary to locate a recreation area in close proximity to the house. The terrace adjacent to the cottage can be square or rectangular. However, photos of finished baths confirm that it is the corner platform that allows you to give the entire structure a complete look, as well as effectively manage the territory personal plot. Everything can be placed on the ground floor.

Advice. Two-story buildings are optimal if you want to properly plan the area of your land plot and intend to continue construction. For example, add another guest room over time.

Nowadays, entire bathhouse cottages with various extensions, including a terrace, are also popular. You can arrange a gazebo on it, playground for children, place for barbecue or dancing. It is convenient to receive and accommodate guests, organize holidays and simply live in the fresh air. To prevent mosquitoes from annoying you in the summer, hang nets or decorative curtains.

Construction planning: timber or brick. Which foundation is better

To implement the design of a bathhouse with a terrace and barbecue that you like, you need to think carefully about what material to build from. Perhaps one of the best is timber. Its advantages are obvious:

  • holds heat well, so additional insulation not required;
  • creates an inimitable “bathhouse” atmosphere, because for a long time people have been steaming in wooden buildings;
  • regulates indoor humidity. This is possible due to the fact that wood “breathes”;
  • allows you to implement non-standard architectural solutions;
  • environmental friendliness. It has been proven that wood enhances the healing effect of a bath.

Rest room

Among the disadvantages, it is worth noting the susceptibility of timber to mold, as well as its low reliability in terms of fire safety.

Attention! Laminated timber and logs are different building materials. The first one is cheaper. Logs can be rounded, planed, etc.

Brick baths are less fire hazardous, but they take longer to warm up, consuming a large amount of fuel. In addition, high-quality ventilation is required in such buildings. Without it, condensation collects inside, which can cause mold and mildew. Speaking about the advantages of brick, it is necessary to note its environmental friendliness, long service life and the ability to erect a building of almost any shape, which is proven by photos of already erected buildings. It is important that the cost brick baths lower than wooden ones, and they do not require external finishing.

Advice. To build a bathhouse, you can take other materials, for example, gas silicate blocks. Popular and frame houses, which are inexpensive and can be built quickly.

Depending on the project and building material For its implementation, the basis of the bathhouse is planned - the foundation. It could be:

  1. Screw. For it, special piles are used on which the structure will stand. Suitable for almost all soil types. Does not require preparatory earthworks. It can be built quickly (in 1-3 days) and at any time of the year.
  2. Columnar. This is the simplest of all types of foundation, and also the most economical. It can be used to build a small bathhouse with a terrace.
  3. Tape. The work on its construction is considered quite labor-intensive, so it is advisable to resort to this option in the following cases:
  • if your site has complex soil - for example, clay or sand;
  • It is planned to build a two-story bathhouse.

Attention! Since a bathhouse is heavier than a terrace, different foundations are usually laid under them.

Tips for designing a recreation area with a sauna, barbecue and terrace

  • When planning construction, consider the main wind direction. The bathhouse should cover the terrace from drafts. This is also necessary in order to correctly position the barbecue - it is not very convenient when smoke flies towards vacationers.
  • Decide why you need a terrace. If you want to hide from the sun's rays on a hot day, do not choose the south. If you are going to sunbathe, design the location of the terrace on the sunny side.

Bathhouse with barbecue
  • A terrace in its classic form does not have a roof, but for convenience and protection from bad weather it can be covered, for example, with transparent polycarbonate.
  • Regardless of what area it will have ready sauna, you need to provide for the location of 3 separate rooms: a locker room, a shower and a steam room.
  • For the construction of a barbecue it is worth using fire brick. In addition, for better fire safety, you can line the area around it with ceramic or stone tiles. It is also necessary to make a separate chimney for the barbecue.
  • If you plan to use a sauna with a terrace for all year round, take care of heating.

Depending on the location of the premises, their dimensions and the size of the bathhouse itself, there are different designs the most unexpected layout. Key Feature one-story building consists of the presence of a landscaped terrace or veranda, which serves as an additional room for relaxation during the warm period. If the bathhouse has closed porch, then it may well serve as an excellent room for relaxation during the cold season.

Video - Bathhouse with an ideal layout. Projects of one-story baths

IN modern conditions the concept of a “Russian bath” has expanded from a simple place for ablution into a complex with wide functionality, which includes various types of relaxation. In this regard, projects of bathhouses with a terrace and barbecue have become in demand (photos are presented on the page).

This solution allows you to significantly save space in your garden or dacha area. A bathhouse with a terrace under one roof is implemented in different projects, which ultimately allows you to get comfort zone outdoor recreation where you can enjoy food, drink and conversation.

The relevance of the location of the bath complex

Extensions are usually called terraces open type adjacent to the main building. This site has the following characteristics:

  • has a reliable roof that protects from possible precipitation;
  • to a certain extent protected from the wind on some sides;
  • the space has a solid floor made of wood or tiles;
  • This area contains furniture in the form of benches, chairs, rocking chairs, and dining tables.

Popular bathhouse designs with an attic and terrace include a cooking area over an open fire:

  • open grill;
  • B-B-Q;
  • stationary stone stove, etc.

The fencing of this site is in most cases used in decorative form and can have a height of about 1 meter from floor level or cover the space from floor to ceiling with rare decorative grille with large gaps.

Individual features of projects

Various architectural bureaus offer many options for bathhouse designs with a terrace. Each of them is based on certain requirements regarding the materials used, location and installation methods. This is due to the fact that there are 6x4 bathhouse projects with a terrace or a 6x6 bathhouse project with a terrace that require a certain allocated area for them.

To enter the terrace there is a small porch with three steps. The site itself is quite spacious. And it can easily accommodate an oven with a grill or a barbecue area.

In such an area you can comfortably accommodate even several guests. In this case, certain nuances of the location of the open extension are taken into account:

  • The design of a bathhouse with a large terrace and barbecue may involve the location of an open area along the largest wall of the building or at the end of the building near the exit.

  • In some cases, in small areas, dressing room space is sacrificed in bathhouse designs with a rest room on the second floor and a terrace next to the building. This approach will also save not only space, but also money on the materials used.
  • Original decorative fence will mark the perimeter of the recreation area under a canopy in bathhouse projects with a large terrace.
  • When drawing up a site plan for installing a stove or barbecue, it is necessary to provide a reliable smoke exhaust system so that combustion products do not create discomfort on the site.
  • For the project of a corner bathhouse with a terrace, a barbecue area is allocated in the far corner, and smoke is removed through a pipe leading out of the roof.

Decorating the terrace

Projects frame baths with a terrace are often divided into two types according to the way they design the open area:

  • completely open terrace area;
  • the presence of dense hinged fabric screens;
  • usage sliding structures using glass or transparent polycarbonate.

The possibility provided in the design of one-story bathhouses with a terrace to hermetically close and open the space using window modules makes it possible to use this area almost all year round.

Removable elements made of polycarbonate or glass can be stowed away summer time into the pantry to open up the space in front of those relaxing on the terrace.

Using an open stove or barbecue

In those bathhouse projects with a kitchen and terrace where the use of a barbecue or barbecue is expected, it is necessary to take into account the special conditions of cooking areas over an open fire.

  • Installation of a stationary stove is often carried out away from the main resting place.
  • It is advisable to provide shelter for the food preparation area from possible bad weather in the form of precipitation or wind.
  • Mobile barbecues must be located in a fire-safe place on a flat surface.
  • Individual decoration of the stove will highlight the design feature of the terrace.
  • In cool weather, a stationary stove becomes additional source warmth for vacationers on the open summer area.

Popular projects

If there is sufficient space on the site, it is possible to implement projects of bathhouses made of rounded logs with a terrace in the form of a small health complex. Such a site will be enough for almost any company of two or three families.

The territory accommodates not only a bathhouse with a steam room, but also a relaxation room. Along longitudinal wall there is a terrace. It is open and includes a barbecue oven. This project of a bath house with a terrace assumes the presence of two entrances to the site: from the back and from the front.

The spacious hall is equipped with a pair of spacious wardrobes, which contain some useful bath equipment and things for changing clothes. There are three further exits from this area:

  • to the toilet where there is dormer window With natural light;
  • to the shower-washing room, after which there is a steam room;
  • to the living room, where there are all the conditions for a cozy pastime.

This arrangement allows you to intelligently manage the space and provides all the opportunities for comfortable movement around the bathhouse. The living room and the terrace are separated by a huge glass window. It can be done in panoramic format. This solution will provide more light to the room and visually expand the terrace area.

Convenient location of the recreation area

The close location of the open seating area and living room will allow you to move between these spaces at any time if the weather may worsen or improve.
